You get a lot of parts (i bought this kit because i needed a motor) but they are much more brittle than the oem parts your syma came with. It's great that you've got lots of extra parts, but these are much more likely to break if they are impacted as opposed to bending. -B. Shayna

I bought this drone for my husband's birthday and he was excited to get outside to try it. First it needs to be assembled and then charged. When assembled, he noticed one of the white wings were bent and took to fly and it would not take off correctly. I contacted the company by email and they were very quick to email back and send me all new clippers and wings about 2 days later! now i have a whole new set in case anything happens to it while out flying. So once it was all ready, he attached the camera to the drone and then phone to the control and took off. It takes a while to get used to the control pad and to keep the drone straight and steady. It flew up and over a fence and landed in someones bushes about 100 feet away. Without the camera attached helping us to see where it landed, we wouldn't have found it! he also got it stuck up in a tree, got it down and it still works fine. I would recommend this for a beginners drone since it is not expensive and it is easy to learn.

Where do i start with this? all i can say is, this. Is. My. Baby. I have loved this thing since the moment i laid eyes on it. Having been my first drone i was very nervous to start out with a $50 drone because you see all those fancy shmancy drones that your friends use and that are on youtube videos and you hope you can just get one for $50 to start out. Well let me tell you, this it the perfect beginner-intermediate drone. I mean, this thing is awesome. . The drone can easily be used indoors and outdoors but i highly recommend hours and hours of indoor use before going outside. My worst nightmare was my first outdoor flight when i was visiting in louisiana. I didn't realize how important headless mode was and flew this baby to the tippity top of a 60 foot tree. And i mean this thing was stuck and the tree was literally un-climbable. It took three hours, a spool of 30lb fishing line, 6 fishing weights, a sling shot and about 200 shots to get it down and there was barely a scratch on it. If that doesn't scream durable. I don't know what does. . Having learned my lesson from the crash i spent a lot more time on my skills indoors before attempting again in a big, clear backyard and that's when i was really impressed. This thing goes up at least 100 feet and is s controllable. The camera function is not high def by any means but it is still fun and is impressive to friends and family. Especially the live viewing. It's not perfect and lags by . 5-2 seconds but it's still really neat. The flips are fun and really make people have a good time watching you fly a piece of plastic around the yard. I have crashed on concrete, grass, trees and from high elevation and this thing is still just as good as new. . I recommend immediately purchasing a few batteries that are 1000mah and higher as it will extend your flight time from about 5 minutes to 12-15 minutes per battery. You're gonna want that. I also purchased an extra set of propellers, propeller guards and screws as you will lose/damage yours eventually. I have a black x5sw that came with white propeller guards so i made sure the new ones were all black and they look even better and more legit. . One thing to remember: the propellers have to go back on in the exact direction as the picture of the unit. I removed the propellers to take it on a plane and then put them back on and thought i ruined my drone. I was devastated them read online about the directional requirement of the propellers and switched them to the correct positions. . I like the controller a lot and have found that you do not need to adjust trim levels or anything very much. Just resetting after crashes is advised. . Don't get discouraged if you find the flight to be too difficult in the beginning. It takes a lot of getting used to because it's an aerial rc device, not and rc car. I promise you'll get it soon. . All-in-all this is a wonderful addition to my life and i hope to add a few nano and higher end drones in the future. But for now. I am more than content with this syma x5sw. -Notice from H. This drone was a fun first drone. I would not say it was easy to fly right out of the box but it was a great learning experience on how to fly a drone. Since the drone is cheap it good to first learn on. I flew it in my basement for about 1 month and then i thought it would take it outside. The first time i tried to fly it outside i was going and full power against the winds of 7 mph but the winds still manage to push it right into a tree. After about 2 weeks of trying to fly outdoors i realizer there was a mode called high power mode and when i turned in to i could easily fly the drone outside. The only bad thing i have to say about this drone is that it fell apart after 3 months of flying it outside but that is normal for such a cheap drone.

However the battery life isn't good at all, it took me 90 minutes to fully charge the battery and it died out within 5-10 minutes of flying, my advice would be to buy extra batteries as a back up, other than that it's a great product
I got this for my son's 9th birthday. Knowing that it would require a little finesse to fly, i tested it out before giving it to him. So. Much. Fun. Of course, i had it stuck in a tree within five minutes of unboxing it. I'm happy to report that a few swift tosses of a soccer ball dislodged it. It took all this abuse without any ill effect. . Out of the box, it was easy to assemble and set up. Flying it was actually a little easier than i expected. My 9-yr-old is able to do it, though he still needs a little practice to land it smoothly on hard surfaces. It handles trees and 9-year-old zeal with grace. The neighborhood kids like me to chase them around the yard with it. It's a hit. Absolutely worth the money. . The flight time is as advertised, if not a little better than 7 minutes if you're just cruising around at low altitude. I bought exrta batteries and a charger on the cheap (here: btg 3. 7v 600mah battery 4pcs & 4 in 1 x4 battery charger for syma x5c-1 x5sw x5sc x5sc-1 x5c x5a) to extend the fun. I also got a set of extra blades for next to nothing (here: syma x5 x5c main blades propellers spare part x5-02), which was unnecessary since the copter comes with an extra set and we haven't managed to harm the original set. . The camera is not great, kind of a novelty, so we usually fly without it to get the extra flight time (less weight). That's really the only complaint i have. It really is a ton of fun to fly. For the price (about $75 with extra batteries and props), it's cheaper than taking the family to the movies after popcorn and drinks, and worth many more entertainment hours.

My 12-yr old son bought this drone the first part of nov with an online store gift card and i gotta say, this thing is awesome and here's why. On it's maiden voyage first weekend in nov, he lifted it, the wind caught it and it went across the street and got stuck in a tree. Had to be 70-75' in the air so there was no way we were getting it. This is the best rc toy i have ever bought, the thing seems to be indestructible! i bought this a few months ago and lost it in my neighbors orchard here in hawaii from flying it too high at night and being a poor pilot. I looked and looked on three separate days shortly after that night with no success. Fast forward to two weeks ago and my neighbor finds it perched in one of his avocado trees, calls me up and returns it. He is doubtful that it will work after the torrential down pour of rain we received in the last few months especially after being dropped zero throttle from 70 feet into a tree. However i brought my extra batteries fully charged and ready to go; and popped one in. Flip the swith to "on" and viola! lights; its alive! i set it down and step back three paces and turn on the controller, shortly after the lights indicate they have paired and i toggle the throttle to finalized the sync. Up up and away! fully functioning even after that neglect. I have since dropped it out of the sky many-a-time, flown it into objects (and i never put the blade guards on ever! ) and it keeps bouncing back to life! i highly recommend this drone, great bang for your buck. This is a pretty fun quad, but two things stand out for me:. . Number one, the streaming quality is garbage and the latency is so huge that it's pretty much not even worth it. I took the camera off day-of because it just hurt the battery life. It would be worth it if there was an sd card slot onboard. . Number two, you can't turn the autostabilization off. This isn't exactly a negative but it'd be a lot of fun to push its limits given that:. . It's fast as hell and feels super agile and responsive. It's up there with the nano qx when it comes to this. . All in all, loads of fun, definitely a good quad to start with, but not one to use if you want to get into racing or videography
- R. RoseHere's the best advice i can give to new drone owners related to this drone. Do not install the propeller guards. These guards are like glue to tree branches. It will get stuck high up on a tree. Once we recovered our drone, i unscrewed these four guards. Now, when in contact with a tree there is nothing to get stuck on the branches and it falls harmlessly to the ground. If by chance the propellers do break, it comes with replacements in the package. I hope this advice is helpful to you!
Amazing! first time every flying a drone and this thing is great. I crashed this drone so many time and all it wants to do is keep flying. Crashed it into my house, garage, stuck in trees stuck in power lines. Still works amazing. I will break blades when i crash hard or maybe snap a landing gear but its comes with replacement parts and spare parts are dirt cheap. Flying this drone at night is also amazing the led lights on the bottom make for all day and night fun. Just remember red is front and blue is back! camera is fun not amazing quality but hey its only $50, easy to set up and use. I bought upgraded batteries so i could fly for longer. If you by the drone i suggest you buy extra parts incase you crash and also extra batteries with a 5 battery charging system at once. Have fun!

I've had these batteries for about month now. I've run a dozen cycles total through each of the batteries through out the weekends and stored during the weekdays at about half capacity. Great replacement batteries for x5sc. No fit issues or heat issues from the 20c batteries on the x5sc. They last about 80-100 seconds more than the stock, syma 500mah, relatively depending if your camera is plugged in, on or off. Charger is quality for what it is (mirco-usb power input is a plus). Batteries plug in and pull out firmly. Simultaneously charges all that are connected. At the price point you can't beat them. Very happy and would buy again.

Best batteries ever. As you check my reviews you can probably tell i fly a lot of the copters. This particular battery pack was the only one true to its capacity. I have testing equipment that puts these at about 690 mah which is the closest to the advertised 720mah. All the batteries were identical with no issues on size, the jst connector and the shrink tubing. The charger is a little flimsy but nothing to worry about as it will probably stay at home. Batteries take between 1 and 2 hours to fully charge all of them from empty. Each battery lets me fly with the camera for about 7 minutes. Without the camera i got up to 8 minutes with 3 of the batteries. The charger plugs into any usb, high power input does not seem to change charging time. The batteries were left in over a weekend to see if they had overcharge protection and indeed the charger does cut off after it charges the battery to capacity. I have used these over a month now and they let me keep flying the copter with small breaks for the motor to cool down. I'm a 12 year old boy and my dad got these for christmas. We use these batteries for the syma x5c quadcopter. We have ordered 2 sets. Having extra batteries makes it so much more fun to fly the drone. It s awesome to be able to fly for a long period of time without stopping to charge! . . -pros. Fun. Not hard to change batteries. 7 min. Flight time for each battery. . -cons. They take a long time to charge (normal for this type of battery). It's hard to get them unplugged from the charger. You need to make sure they are snapped into charge. . The batteries are a must have for the drone. It makes it where you can play for more than 7 minutes before charging. If you are getting the drone you really need to consider getting these batteries.

PattonThese batteries are by far the best best i have ever ordered , i have the x5c , x5sc these fit better than the batteries that come with the drone , they give you a longer plug and made them smaller which makes them easier to insert in the battery compartment . The charger works great as well , definitely increase flying time. All the batteries worked great.
Best aftermarket batteries for the syma x5c/x5c-1 that i have tried yet. They offer a very noticeable improvement in flight time over the stock battery, and they fit in the battery compartment better than other aftermarket batteries of the same capacity. They are very well-made and all performed consistently. The charger is also of very nice quality and is sturdier than many other multi-chargers that i have tested. Highly recommended.

Santa put this on his list for 2 brothers who received drone's for christmas and thankfully he did because it was needed greatly. With normal use as in not doing any crazy moves etc you get about 20 minutes a charge so its worth it to have these backups. Good product
Caution: 1) on receving, please double check whether battery swelled up. If swelled up, do stop using or charging, and contact us in time. 2) do not overcharge the battery. 3) for safety reasons, make sure batteries located in a clean place which is easy for heat dissipation. 4) do not charge batteries that are still hot or it might lead to fire or explosion. A fireproof safety bag is recommended for lipo battery storage/charge. 5) do keep batteries away from humid/hot area; and inflammable materials, such as floor with carpet covered. I'm extremely happy with these cells. I was surprised that compared to the tenergy cells they seem much lighterand slightly smaller volume-wise but provide as long or longer flight times when coupled with the hs170. . I will definitely order more of these. -Notice from E. Gloria, Georgia

Great batterys and how can you beat the price! with the stock battery and my phone charger when i change the first battery out, it goes on the charger and so on. By the time i am done with the last one, the phone back up battery has charged up the first one. This way i can fly for hours with out a plug in! awsome! *

Bought the cheerwing syma x5sw-v3 fpv explorers2 2. 4ghz 4ch 6-axis gyro rc headless quadcopter drone ufo with hd wifi camera for 14 year old grandson. Since batteries only last about 15 minutes, this was a great way to extend flying time.
