Not gonna lie, i bought this barbie for myself, an adult, because i thought she would be cool to put on my desk as decoration since i love video games. . I've never collected dolls, but this one doesn't dissapoint. The hair looks different than the picture though, it's more of a brunette with pink streaks, still looks nice though. The clothes do look s little cheap in my opinion compared to barbie clothes from 20 years ago or so which is why i deducted a star. Other than that the whole presentation with her box is something to look at.

- L. BettyGreat doll, though the pictures are slightly misleading - instead of the bright red hair, this doll has dark hair with reddish-pink streaks. Which looks fantastic, it's just not the red customers may be expecting. I have to agree with other reviewers that the 'jeans' look cheap, but the tank top is nice and the jacket looks okay. . For me, the real stars are the accessories: the tablet is cool to have, and the headphones and glasses look really good. Unfortunately, the laptop accessory was missing from my doll, even though the packaging was sealed. Must have been a factory mix-up, and while i'm not too broken up about it, i am slightly disappointed. It's worth checking to make sure the laptop is there before opening the package. . As a software tester myself, formerly working in the game industry, it's great to have a doll that represents women like me, and this is going to make a very cute display piece.

I love my "curvy" barbie aka looks like a normal woman. Her outfit is trendy and colored hair is very modern. The price was unbeatable and i'm so happy with mattels direction concerning barbie's image and marketing!

She's so cute! she's taller than ken and has almost no curves. Her body is adorable and realistic and her clothes are baggy and cute. Her shoes fit the curvy doll's and their shoes fit her, too. Her hair cannot be brushed so if younger children played with her, i would be worried but my sisters are very careful with her hair and they just love her.

This barbie is beautiful! i bought it for my daughter and she absolutely loved it for her doll house. I'm happy that mattel is making different barbies rather than just one type. I'm teaching my children to love all people and not look at skin color. If this was taught to kids very young the world would be a better place. When my daughter received it along with other beautiful barbies she was super happy and said "look! more barbie friends" :)

This review is based on my honest opinion and i bought this product on my own and i hope that this review helps someone with their decision to purchase or not. . I bought this product on july 1 2016. I think the price is decent and the shipping reasonable. The seller shipped the product out fast which is always a plus. My package was set out to arrive ( according to online store) no later than the 13 of july: it arrived on july 6 2016. The item was packaged neatly. The doll was in its original package, brand new and it was bubble wrapped and placed in a cardboard box for shipping, so i was pleased with the level care that went into the packaging. . Dolls quality:. The doll is exactly as pictured or even more pretty in person. The dolls dress is of good quality like a cotton blend or a polyester blend dress and the stitching is neatly done. Their is nothing crazy special about the dress except that's beautiful and good quality like most of barbie's clothing. Her shoes, no surprise, is plastic booties or kitten heels type shoes. The shoes are a solid color with mediocre details like laces on them. Like most barbie shoes. For the price, especially since it's not a collectable, i did not expect anything fancy or super crafted. Overall for the price the outfit is of good quality and i think will do well to withstand heavy play. . The doll is much fuller than average barbie which is the great lore with this new doll and others like her. Her body is thicker and is like that of a plus sized model with small bust, flat tummy and wider hips. Her shape is very true to her curvy description. Her face is my favorite, she has a noticeable chin which i have not seen in barbie dolls and it makes her even more unique. Her make up is very soft and natural. Her hair color is beautiful and her hair is like butt length. She like most dolls that are not jointed has a limited range of motion she can do a side split( not a front one), hands move up down, forward and backward, and for barbie this is normal. Her arms and legs are plastic and not rubber like some of the older dolls. Her feet are not flat but the traditional pointed tip toe feet. Clothing: also as far as clothing, i find she can fit into most of the old barbie (large busted classic barbie) tops and some of the bottoms like the skirts and dress as long as they stretch. I am not sure their is a clothing pack for her yet. . Cons/negatives:. The doll is beautiful overall but this can be a downside to some, the dolls hair is not that full like classic barbies. This trend barbie has been doing for a while where they do not add hair or stopped adding hair to the head, thus leaving good amounts of empty space. This doll is low price so i was expecting this and it is not an issue for me because her hair is not so thin where she looks bald ( plus i can add hair later). Also the hair does tangle and sheds a bit so comb it gently or remind the little ones to comb it softly. Also, it would of been nice if they sold her with another outfit. I know barbie will make a clothing pack for her but as for now it would just be more convenient. It maybe tricky to find some clothes for her but i found traditional barbie clothes do fit on her as long as it is stretchy, elastic materials. . All and all, i highly recommend this doll. The doll is beautifully made for the price and she is very unique and beautiful. She is perfect for play and though she is not like the collectables in craftsmanship she is lovely. You will not waste your money and any child or adult will love to have her for a gift. Hoped this helped someone.

- Z. GladysBeautiful new face sculpt and lovely hair which was brushable out of the box with no styling product. The head is hard so presumably is full of glue but i have had this doll a few months now and the glue has not started to seep out and does not smell (as has happened with other mattel dolls) so hopefully it will stay in the head. The dress is pretty and the shoes dinky - both very useable and although the dress is designed for this new "curvy" body it fits standard bodies fine. The body is awful - no articulation and the doll can barely sit so i have switched the head to a fashionista body which in my opinion works better. But for the poor body and hard head this would have been a 5 as the face alone is worth it.
