The First Years Stacking Up Cups (y2341f) 4052

Review for stacking up

Price was $4.99. My daughter loves to topple the stack over and over. Although it says 6+ months, my daughter is almost 16 months and has found new inventive ways to play with these and just enjoys them. Sometimes we also organize a tea party with her dollies and these cups. . They are very simple, inexpensive, and we take them everywhere. They fit easily in the diaper bag. She loves to bang them together and she also likes to hear how her voices change when she talks in the larger ones. . All of the cups are enumerated from 1 to 8 and depending on the number there are the different quantity of tiny holes on the bottom of each cup. . I was a bit disappointed in the overall size of these cups. The largest cup is 3. 5 inches in diameter and the smallest cup is 2 inches in diameter. For some reason, i thought they were bigger.

This is currently our 6 month old daughters favorite toy and what we use to get her to practice her "swimming crawl" across the carpet. I've also noticed our friends and family enjoy playing with/stacking these toys! :) the cups stack well, are easy to clean, easy to travel with and fun bright colors to keep baby interested. They also are stable enough to stay standing, but allow our daughter to tip over with one good reach. We think the ease of knocking over is part of the reason why she enjoys them so much! . . I also like that the cups are numbered (so no thinking required to stack them) and they have little holes in the bottom so they can be used in the water/during bath time. Definitely well worth the purchase price! If i could give these more than 5 stars i would. He spends more time playing with these than most other toys put together (from about 7 months, currently 10 months still likes them). Great bath toys too and you can also use them to rinse baby's hair! -N. Bullock

Super cute cups, just what i was hoping for. Nice weight and feel, not cheap and flimsy. Bottom has a lip to help with stacking and each cup has a number and cute shaped cut outs for playing in water. Fun for tub or out. I would like to have seen another color besides two yellows though.

At first i was disappointed because the cups were a bit smaller than i had anticipated, however, now i am thrilled because the cups are the perfect size for her little hands. And she loves them. . We have spent numerous afternoons, stacking, knocking down, chewing and tossing the cups. This is a well made product and there are lots of learning opportunities just waiting to be discovered. Numbers, 1-8, colors, each cup has the appropriate amount of holes on the bottom to match it's number. Tomy Hide & Squeak Eggs

I seem to be a sucker for toys that have a lot of pieces that my 2 year old will ultimately throw everywhere (see my review on the 40 pc thomas mini train set p). There are six eggs with attached chicks and a shape on the bottom half, and faces on the outer top half. I like it that it's a set, and yet not 50 pieces that he can lose in his wild happy throwing sprees. Has he somehow managed to use the chicks as guns? yes, he can turn anything into a weapon. But he also spends the majority of the time sorting them carefully by color, the faces that the egg/chick have, and the shape each one fits into in the carton. It keeps him occupied, and he plays with them repeatedly, so i think they're adorable and a great little set. He can take them around and it's not too bulky that it's an intrusion if i have to keep it in my purse for awhile. Only possible con, which i know is a minor issue, is that they don't really "squeak" like i expected them to. The noise they make is, i don't even know how to describe, but a really weak squeak, like a bad spring forcing air that just so happens to make a sound. But i dunno, it's not major enough for me not to like it. Imaginatively weaponized matching chicks are a win.

Chirp! chirp! these are not your ordinary eggs you find at the grocery store! crack open the shells to reveal six egg-stra special chicks. Learn shapes by sorting each shell into its own carton spot. Six different face/shell combinations included. Press down gently on their heads to hear them cheep! best of all, no batteries are needed. Recommended for ages 6 months and up.

Tomy Hide & Squeak Eggs (T12008) FAQ.

I have now purchased two sets of these. The first one was for my daughter's easter basket and she just went crazy for it. All of the tops can fit on any of the eggs. The bottom of the egg carton has different shapes that goes with a specific egg. My daughter has learned that each egg fits into a specific spot in this carton. All six eggs make a high pitched squeak, that even gets my dog's attention. I purchased a second set because my daughter had worn out the old carton. She carries this egg carton all over the house practically every day. The carton is well made but she loves opening and closing the carton but no plastic hinges can handle that much abuse. The eggs are still in pristine condition after six months of abuse and my daughter is very hard on toys. This toy has been one of the most educational and entertaining one we've purchased for her. I highly recommend it! -Notice from N. Pearce, Louisiana

This is one of my very favorite baby toys. I bought one for my oldest, 9 years ago when he was a baby, and we have lost one of the eggs in a vacuum so i just bought the same toy again for my youngest. All four of my kids have love it. The babies and kids (and adults) love to play with the eggs. My daughter is now 6 months old and she can hold onto the eggs well. They are just the right size that she can hold them but they are to big to cause me any kind of choking worry. . This toy is great bang for you buck. I would highly recommend this toy for any baby. . Things to know:. The egg carton is the size of a regular carton of eggs that holds 6 egg. It is made from sturdy plastic and is well made. The eggs are each two pieces, a top and a bottom. The tops can fit on any of the eggs but the faces and colors match (the green face matches with the green egg). The eggs have funny faces on them. The eggs make a squeaking noise when you push down on the colored "face". The squeak is fairly quiet and pleasant.

- F. FlorenceI bought this toy because it looked cute and we had seen it on a movie. Best money i've ever spent. We've had this toy for about 3 years. I have a 4 year old and an 18 month old and this toy gets played with every day. They live taking them in and out of the carton, talking about the colors, matching the shadows on the bottom, and making the chicks "peep". Very educational, great for motor development, and durable enough for daily use. If you've got a one year old in your life, buy it. It will be a favorite for years to come.

My son is 14 months old and he loves this egg set! we went to the beach last month and he was given one of those plastic easter eggs to play with. He played with that egg for the longest time trying to get it back together so i went on the search for a piece together toy. I found these and decided to give them a try. This toy comes with 6 eggs in its own carton. Each egg has a different color face on them to help match up. On the bottom of the eggs they each have a different shape that matches with a spot in the carton. Once you take the eggs apart there's colorful chicks inside that if you press down makes a chirping sound. My son is not old enough to get the matching or color part down yet but he really enjoys taking them apart and putting them back together which is what i was looking for. I really like that he can grow with this toy also. Overall i'm very pleased with all the educational qualities about this toy!

B. Toys B. One Two Squeeze Blocks

My son loves these. Currently he only chews on them but hey if he approves then it's money well spent. Added bonus is the shapes and numbers that are on them so they double as educational toys for when he gets older. Oh the first order i received had dark skid looking marks on two sides of the yellow one i had to do an exchange. I'm not sure how it got in that condition i can only guess that if you rub them on certain surfaces the material they are made of changes colour ? i'm watching this set closely. I should also note that they wasted space by putting that silly cardboard box where they should've put two more blocks. 12 blocks would've been better than 10.

The b. One two squeeze blocks are designed especially for little hands and curious minds. Each hand-sculpted block is an educational and tactile experience, featuring reliefs of friendly animals and the numbers 1-10 on each side. The set includes 10 blocks, with 60 images to delight and educate a curious mind. Soft and durable, these blocks are stackable, squeezable, floatable and chewable, making them suitable for any activity. Comes in a 100% recycled polypropylene clear plastic carrying bag for easy storage. Ages 6 months and up.

B. Toys B. One Two Squeeze Blocks (Battat) FAQ.

Soft squeezable rubber blocks. They even squeak when you squeeze them. Each side of the counting blocks has a different image; numbers 1 through 10. Since the blocks are soft, i don't have to worry about my little one hurting himself with these or breaking something else by throwing them. My son loves to stack them and then knock them down. I love that it comes with a carrying case; even though the blocks are a little tricky to fit them all back in. You can't just throw them in. They have to be positioned the right way for all of them to fit. -Notice from K. Cassella, Sheffield

Perfect first block set for baby. My 6 month old loves them. I feel comfortable with her chewing on them without harming herself or the block. These blocks have cute animal designs and a large number on each block. The number of animals matches that blocks number- for example, 6 would have 6 cats on it. The blocks also squeak! they are easy to wipe down to clean.

- I. CortneyMy daughter has been playing with these blocks since she was a couple months old. The way she plays with them has changed so many times during her development. It started out as a way for her to stay content during tummy time, then turned into teethers, floating/squirting bath toys, an incentive to crawl. Then the crazy tower combos! at 20 months old now, she is still playing with them. She is quite the talker so we are onto learning colors and numbers. I can say that these blocks have also helped her to learn her animals when used simultaneously with storytime. Also, they still look brand new even with over a year and a half of regular cleaning. They are so well made and the best looking blocks you can buy. Yay for b. Toys! we love these so much that we have also purchased some as gifts. Very happy recipients!

My 16 month old son loves these blocks! i brought them out and he immediately got excited and started squeezing, stacking, throwing and carrying them everywhere. The colors, animals and numbers are a nice touch and will help him continue learning. I love that they are soft enough to bite or squeeze and they won't damage anything or anyone if thrown, yet they are still sturdy enough to be stacked. They will be great to play with in the tub as well. These are awesome because they can grow with your child - soft and safe enough for a young baby, yet they will still appeal to an older toddler (it recommends 6 months to 3 years)!

- X. JuneMy 5 month old son really loves this car. It's perfect for him to hold at the top and he loves watching the wheels spin. My only complaint is that based on the pictures and the label "assorted colors" i thought we were getting two cars. Not a big deal and totally my fault because i didn't read closely - but just wanted to point it out in case anybody else missed that too.

We bought this for my 1yo grandson to play with when visiting our house. He played with this toy for hours on his most recent visit. It was amusing to watch him push the car away, chase after it, then realize he forgot his "blanky", grab the car, go back, and then start all over again. He ran it all over the floor, the couch, the ottoman, pushing the car and dragging along blanky. Great toy for babies.

This has been a total hit with our family's smallest member. At 8 months old she is fascinated with things that are easy to grasp, visually appealing, and chewable. We like the fact that there is nothing loose, small, sharp, etc. We have had a number of good sassy products over the years, and this toy is another nice product and kid pleaser. We are not seeing any of the "stuffing" issues that some earlier reviewers have mentioned, and we do check over everything very carefully. I will revise the review if we run into any issues.

- E. WatsonMy 7 month old can't get enough of this toy! she loves to shake it, bite it, grab it, and even just stare at it. The little nobs on the ball are perfect for little hands to grip. It's soft, so i don't have to worry about her bumping her head on it. I leave it in her play yard with her since its so soft and there are no small parts she could choke on. I wish i had bought this sooner!

This does come straight from china, for anyone concerned, but it's well made and doesn't have any chemical smells. A good rinse off out of the bag and a decent air-dry should make it good to go. The colors are fun and stimulating, and the rattle catches any kid's attention. There's not a lot of different textures to feel, but it's fun to roll back and forth between the kiddo and myself. It's soft and squishy enough that it's one of my kid's favorites.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-Stack

I bought this item as a donation for toys for tots, so it was not opened and i can not vouch for the quality of the paint, etc. It was delivered very quickly and the price is great. This is one of those toys that never goes "out of style" with babies. I think i had one as a child, got one for my son when he was a baby, and have given lots as gifts. This toy is great because it appeals to babies from infancy through toddlerhood. As infants they love to mouth these doughnuts; there is something about them that infants love. So even before they understand the concept of sizing and stacking, it is an appealing toy. Then when they get somewhat older, you can demonstrate sizing and stacking and they enjoy watching you, and you can talk to the child as you are doing it. Finally, the child is old enough to have the skills to be able to size and stack them herself. I have even seen older kids come along and nostalgically put these together quickly; older kids love to re-visit toys that are easy for them. Anyway i always get this as a present and when i was getting donations for toys for tots i made sure to put my favorite toy (wish i had one, lol) in with other gifts. It is a really healthy toy, as long (of course) that it is non-toxic, and i can not speak to that. Five stars for a toy that never gets old.

Five colorful rings are fun for younger babies to grasp, hold, shake and explore. The littlest ring has a shiny, reflective surface for baby to discover inside with colorful, swirling beads that make fun rattle sounds! when baby is ready to sit and stack, baby can place rings on the post, then bat at the wobbly base to make it rock back and forth. Stacking helps baby develop eye-hand coordination, and introduces baby to the concept of relative size as they learn to sort and stack from biggest to smallest!

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Rock-a-StackFisher-Price-71050-Brilliant-Basics-Rock-a-StackFor generations babies have delighted in this classic stacking toy. Consisting of five bright candy-colored rings in graduated sizes looped over an 8-inch-tall plastic post, the rock-a-stack helps babies develop coordination as they learn to stack the easy-to-grasp rings in the proper order. Little ones will have the time of their lives sorting, stacking, and tasting to see if the rings really taste as good as they look. Made of absolutely safe, washable soft plastic suitable for teething. -marianne painter

Simple, yet was a hit for my baby cousin. He normally doesn't play with toys, he rather play with household objects, like lids on tupperware and things of that nature. He's one and he loved this toy. He likes stacking and removing the rings, basic, but he gets a kick from it. The colors and textures are nice as well. Overall, great buy for the small price i payed.

The F.A.Q. for the first years stacking up cups

Great for early education, even for a 9 month old. To my surprise, these were yet another inexpensive toy we could afford along with other purchases without breaking the bank. Simple fun without being too complicated for fast and easy learning. The cup sizes and material are made well enough even for our daughter to grab a hold of the largest with ease. Also, because they're lightweight and stackable, they can be put away very easily. Easy to clean and can't hide any dirt or grim in unwanted places. Smooth design allows cups to slide in and out without getting stuck. Each is numbered, and has a unique pattern imprinted on the bottom. Overall, very pleased with the quality and price.

This simple and basic toy is a must for every child. It teaches them creativity and to use their imagination. For the youngest child, my grandson is only a few months old, they can grasp the cups easily and look at the colors. As they get older, the parent can use them to teach colors or numbers. Stacking and sizing will come also. . I appreciate that the cups have holes in the bottom so they work well in the tub also.

I got these for my daughter when she was about 6 months old. She's 15 months now and still loves to play with them. I can definitely see us using them in the future as well. Not only are they great colors, but the cups are numbered, and each has a different shape on the bottom. I love these, and so does my baby. We've been given other stacking toys, but none are as good as these simple cups. Best ever!

My three year old daughter loves them. They were recommended to us by her physical therapist. It has helped her with stacking things upwards, putting things inside of other things, and counting. They are smaller than what i thought they were going to be. Which isn't that big of a deal though because children have small hands. I would definitely recommend this for all children, but also for children with developmental delays.

We love these! they are super cheap but super durable and versatile. My toddler can throw them across the room, bite them, bath with them, play outside, everything. They stack in lots of different ways and have different shaped small holes in the bottom for water play, but at the same time you could put some goldfish or some other snack in them and it wouldn't fall out the bottom. The bright colors are great for teaching and they also have numbers on the bottom for teaching. They are small enough when nested to fit in the diaper bag, but when stacked up high make a big fun tower to play with. These would be great for small babies and older kids. These are great quality for a great price.

Great toy for babies. Daughter has been playing with since she was 6 months old and at a year still gravitates toward them. Only hiccup i have is that they are a tight fit to stack (in making a tower) so that skill has been hard for baby. Other than that. She loves them and they are a easy go to as they are quiet (no rattles, noises, etc), they wash easy, and could even go in the tub as they drain. If you are stumped on a gift. This would be a good one for new baby houses.

Hubby and i bought these for our little one, and she absolutely loves these! they are great for developmental play, encouraging cause and effect, and for counting. There a little designs/holes in each cup to allow for water play as well. From what i can gather, these are bpa and phalatae free but do not take my word for it. We sanitized these in some odoban and washed them prior to letting our daughter play with it for safety.

I owned several sets of these with my children. As they grew, we used them for math. Combining them with counting bears teaches counting, sorting, and early math skills. . My first grandbaby is 10 months old so i recently bought this set for her. They are well made and brightly colored. They're exactly what i was hoping for! i trust the first years brand.

Cups are well made and are wonderful bright colors. They also have numbers on the bottom of them, as well as small shapes cut out of the bottom. I could see these toys withstanding being in the bath or in the sand or dirt. They also stack easily together. My six month old is not currently interested in them, but i am sure she will become more interested as she becomes older. You also cannot beat the price!

I originally bought these stacking cups after reading on a blog about how this type of toy can encourage many developmental play experiences for young children. Who would have thought that something so simple as various sized cups could be such a hit! my 7 month old daughter fell in love with them as soon as i showed them to her. They are easy for her to grip and mouth which is perfect for her at this point. During tummy time play she bats the cups while they are on their sides and watches them roll across the floor. So many different skills are being developed just through simple interaction and play with this open-ended toy. For parents like myself who also want to get the most bang for their buck, these stacking cups can be used well into a child's toddler, preschool and kindergarten years depending on how you go about using them. . The cups themselves are colorful and made from a hard plastic. The bottoms of the cups have a rounded rim which helps steady the cups when stacking them in a tower. I really like the numerals on the bottom and the corresponding shaped holes on each cup. Children are not only introduced to size and color with these cups, but also numbers and shapes. . For any caregiver or parent of young children, this toy is a must have!

Simple and basic toy, but my babies absolutely love it! the colors are nice and bright and the stacking is easy, especially with the rounded lip of each cup which makes it easier to separate them. The holes in the bottom keep the cups entertaining for multiple uses (i. E. Water and sand). My daughter has loved them since she was 5mos old and at 2yrs they are still a favorite toy.

I absentmindedly didn't realize these had holes in them until i took them out of their package. I read reviews on everything very carefully, but with these i for once didn't because i thought all plastic baby/toddler stacking "cups" were about the same (just by the very definition of the word "cup"). I bought them for the tub for my 21 month old, but seeing as they have holes and can't hold water, i'll instead give them to my 4 month old to bang around. It's a cheap enough price that i'm not horribly disappointed. They also are a lot smaller than i was expecting them to be, but that's not a huge problem either. They still get 4 stars for the price.

Good quality and durable. A traditional toy without a lot of frills, but this is what babies want. You can go spend at least $30 on a nice wooden painted set, but my experience is that small kids (my daughter is 10 months) have just as much fun with these. Besides, littler kids have tiny hands and like things they can hold with one hand sometimes better than the big wooden ones, which i think require more "effort" to play with (maybe you can find a smaller size wooden set out there, but why pay so much when these are just as fun). I think these cups are class and were a hit here at christmas.

I purchased these about 2 years ago. They helped with learning colors, hand eye coordination, counting, comparing (size & height), identifying numbers (numbers printed on the bottom of cups), sorting, imaginative play (the twins use them to make a rocket ship and as mountains when they play with their small animals), and so much more. The four year olds still play with them. I highly recommend stackable for all growing minds and especially autistic children for project base learning. . The cups do have holes vented in the bottom so if you have a child who likes to transfer items from one cup to another, stay close. 1 of ours is fond of pouring juice in them to drink and plays in the mess when i turn my back.

E. Arnett, Ontario

I am probably enjoying these more than my 5 month old son! given he's a little young to really play with them yet. We enjoy stacking them and eating them! they have holes in the bottom of the cups which will make them fun for bath time. Most of the holes are in shapes with the numbers of sides corresponding with the number on the cup - but not all (ex. The cup with the 4 on it would have 4 squares on it). And yes, i did stack cups on my sons head - it's a fun game. I think my record is 3 or 4 before he tips them off!
