Fisher-price Tappin’ Beats Bench (cdc12) 4800

Review for tappin' beats

Price was $17.99. Baby loves this, can't get enough of hitting and tapping. Any baby in a "hitting" things stage will love this, and it just may save some of your stuff from destruction. I'd recommend this over the old school pounding benches, particularly since it's larger/easier for little ones to utilize at an earlier age.

Foreword

This is our absolute favorite noise-making toy in our house. The songs that play on it are different from the typical kids toys, cloyingly sweet nursery rhyme songs. They're almost more like electronic dance/club type music! no lyrics or anything, just some dancey techno. They're long enough that it's not super repetitive and boring, but short enough that they don't just seem to drag on forever. . I also love that it only makes sound when you actually interact with it. I have other toys (v-tech, i'm looking at you) that intermittently make noise for no apparent reason so, even when my son has moved on to something else. So i love that with this, he has to push a button-or more accurately, smack it-for it to make noise. He learned very quickly that hitting it causes it to play a song (cause and effect! ), whereas with other toys stuff just happens randomly and he never made any connections. . I'll also note, he has never once tried to hit the buttons with the mallet that came with it, even after i showed him. But he still likes the mallet as a separate toy, so it's all good. Fisher-price Tappin' Beats Bench Review (cdc12)

I was looking for a reactionary toy for the little one, you know, push the button and something happens. I saw this at a local toy store, and it was waaay over priced. So of course, online store we the next place i checked. The first one we purchased, broke. Big brother and little brother played with it for about 10 minutes and one of the buttons broke. Contacted online store, and they sent a replacement within 2 days. It's one of the favorite toys in the house. It always catches his attention, and he loves the buttons and lights. The little one isn't gentle with it, and slaps down the buttons fairly aggressively. As with most fisher price toys, it's sturdy. We don't use the hammer that it comes with, the little one prefers to just wave that around, menacingly. -Q. Pearson

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Boppin' Activity Bugs Colors May Vary

This toy is well built and definitely durable. . The little heads pop up when the lever, switch, dial, or button in front of them is activated. Each one makes a different noise (ping, click, etc. ) and has a different method to pop up, so it gives our 10 month old a variety of methods to learn. She's able to pop them down again and do it again, and no batteries are required, so it's all baby power. It seems to keep her interest for quite a while, and overall we're pretty happy with it. Occasionally, if one of the switches gets positioned just right, you can't pop the head with it back down until you adjust the switch again, but this doesn't happen very often. . The biggest downside i can think of (which has nothing to do with the toy itself) is that because of how easy it is for her to get a hold of, she occasionally picks it up and slams it against the floor when playing with it. So it is definitely durable, as it has taken quite a beating and works just fine.

Babies love pop-up surprises especially when they get rewarded for making the fun happen! four cute and friendly bugs pop up, bouncing and bobbling with fun sounds when baby pulls, turns, slides and presses colorful buttons. Baby can bat at them, too, to make them bob up and down!

Fisher-price Brilliant Basics Boppin Activity Bugs (Fisher Price) FAQ.

Bought this toy when my 1st grandchild was about 10 months old. I now have 4 grandkids & thought it was a flop when none of them had any interest in it up till about age 2. Now the 2-3 year olds love it. They will play with it for a long time. Bright, colorful & well built. It really does take a beating but never breaks! -Notice from T. Janice, Hartlepool

We bought this for christmas 2013 for our then 1 yr old daughter. And it's still a go-to toy! it was easy enough for her to play with then but challenging enough to grow with her! the 'twisty' knob one is pretty tricky b/c it has to be twisted pretty hard to make the bug pop up, so i had to help her, she would get pretty frustrated with that one. Was kinda cute! now she can do it on her own tho and gets excited when she does it! it's such a simple, cute toy. Doesn't require batteries. Makes cute, not loud and irritating, noises. Is light enough for her to carry on her own. And a great cause/effect type toy! oh and she likes to slam the bugs back down, and it hasn't hurt it at all! . Just a really simple, great quality toy at a great price!

- M. TheresaWanted to introduce some more "cause/effect" toys into my son's play routine. I like to offer him organic items from around the house. But there is still something quite satisfying about pushing a button or twisting a knob and having something happen, so i bought him this one. He figured this toy out in about 2 days. He loves it and will spend 30 minutes with it on his own. He'll often crawl away, play with something else, and go back to this one.

This is an excellent music-less toy! i try very hard to limit the toys that do all the work for my little one and make tons of noise. I stay home with him all day and have to protect my sanity from obnoxious toys, and i also want toys that help him develop different skills and creativity. This fits the bill. . When my son was younger, he enjoyed bopping the little bugs and watching them bounce. He then enjoyed mouthing all the knobs and levers. Now he is learning to use the knobs and levers. The most difficult is definitely the orange knob, because it requires more purposeful movement, while the others can be done a bit easier. They all make a fairly quiet sound when engaged to encourage their use, but there isn't some annoying song that plays or anything loud. He enjoys this and uses it every day it is in the toy rotation. His little friends enjoy it too. A definite hit and a great price too! plus, he is learning cause and effect. . My one complaint is that after several months, a bit of the paint has come off. I don't believe my son has ingested any, but more it has rubbed of from being toted around to friend's homes, vacation, etc.

VTech Drop Go Dump Truck

This is a hit at our house with my 7 month old son. He love chasing the balls when he throws them across the room. He can pull the truck by the string and thinks it's pretty neat. The sound effects are not too annoying like some other toys.

Learning is tons of fun with the drop and go dump truck by vtech. Drop a colorful rock into the top of this cute toy dump truck, and watch it tumble into the bucket. Your little one will learn numbers as the interactive truck counts each rock. Once the rocks are in the bucket, push or pull the truck along to see the rocks rumble inside. Then, lift the hinged bucket to unload the rocks and start again while developing motor skills. The dump truck also includes 3 colorful buttons that play melodies, phrases and teach tools and colors. Requires 2 aaa batteries (batteries included for demo purposes only; new batteries recommended for regular use). Intended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

Vtech Drop Go Dump Truck (80-166500) FAQ.

My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday. It wasn't until she was about 18 months that she really became interested in it, and now at 2 years old she is obsessed. I bought this as a gift for two other 2 year old because i think it's such a great toy. And of course the option to turn the sound off when you just can't handle the beeping and bopping of interactive toys is always a plus :) -Notice from J. Edith, Nord-Pas-de-Calais

Received this a day earlier than expected. 9+ mo old grandson was captivated by it immediately (he loved the online store box, too lol). He is too young to know how to pop the rocks into the bed of the dump truck but he puts them in the hole, turns it over and spins the wheels - he loves wheels. If i pop the rocks in, he pulls the bed back by hand to get them out - he doesn't know how to use the lever. He can't walk so he can't pull the truck by the string but he laughs when i pull it and crawls after it. Love vtech because of the bells and whistles of sound and lights. We are such an electronic world and i like buttons to press for learning activities. Grandson has many vtech toys. It's great to start babies out young (many he got months ago) because they can grow into the toys and go back to them. He has the laptop, remote control, sit to stand (all time favortie - love love love this one), iphone, etc. Yes, the "rocks" have gone under the couch a few times but that's ok - i fish them out. Today i put some of his other little toys in the back of the dump truck with the rocks. The vroom vroom sound is fun and i do that, too. I searched online store for a truck and decided on this one and am very happy with it. It is sturdy and something he will play with for a long time.

Vtech-drop-go-dump-truck-(80-166500) set picture

- P. NevaMy 18 month old received this as a gift. He loves pulling it along behind himself. The "rocks" take a little effort to push through from the top of the truck and he occasionally gets frustrated by that. But he'll just toss them directly into the bucket and go on his merry way. The sound has two levels and plays the typical vtech songs and sounds. Cute little toy, great for gift giving (as long as it's going to a family that isn't anti-noisy toy)!

My 17 month old loves this truck! he can pull it with the string and trail it behind him or he pushes it across the room and chases it down. The blocks go in the dump truck and makes lots of noise and music that he loves. Then he can dump all the balls back out with a lever and chase them down all over again. Definitely recommend this toy.

Fisher-Price Stack Explore Blocks

We got these blocks for our son who just turned 10 months. Each of these blocks come with a side with a vibrant drawing of an animal and a side with raised pattern. Our baby loves to run his fingers over the texture - i think it's the bit he likes the best about this blocks (right now). One thing i've noticed is that the drawing/paintings of these animals are such that i think it might not survive scrubbing (we haven't tried it, afraid it might ruin the drawings). Gentle wash does it, i think.

Five blocks for baby that stack up to a tower of fun, or nest one-in-one! each 5-sided block features bright colors, interesting textures, cute characters, numbers, and familiar first object? baby can stack them, nest them one-inside-another, or place them side-by-side to build a colorful scene!

Fisher-price Stack Explore Blocks (cdc52) FAQ.

One of our baby's favorite toys. She loves to knock them down, scoot them around, and chew on them now that she's teething. The designs are printed directly onto the plastic (no stickers) so they are easy to wash, and the bright colors are great for babies. This is one of the first toys our baby took an active interest in, though not until late into her fourth month (and she still loves them now, months later). These will probably go with us on the plane too because they are so portable. -Notice from G. Clara, Connecticut

I am an occupational therapist and i have to say this is probably my kiddos favorite toy! it's made very well too as it takes a pretty good beating from some of my 2 year olds! lol i like the different modes that are available. It allows for a variety of age groups to be able to play with this. I use this with my three year olds to see if they can follow the pattern on one of the modes.

This toy has been a savior! my 3 year old even loves playing with this. It has stood up to food and washings and many crashes on the floor from the high chair. I would recommend this to everyone. It's a bit loud but it works well

Such a great toy. Bright lights and loud music to keep my baby interested! (not to loud that it's annoying) toys pop up and down easily so no frustration for the baby!
