This is something my son picked out and gave to a friend, but then he decided that he wanted it too! he loves his hot wheels and has been playing with this for about a month. It is well made, as one would expect from the brand, and is holding up to his use well. Great item and good value.

It could be designed a little better tho as the cars will slide around and only cars without spoilers or a higher suspension will fit. Bought this as a christmas gift for my nephew. My sister had told me he'd been eyeballing one of these for a while (he'd just turned three) and it's one of those toys that i felt reasonably confident would see use beyond just that morning. She later reported that it was his favorite gift, even over nice things given by other family members which cost more. Honestly, with those kinds of results, at this price, i'd give it six stars if i could. Living a few thousand miles away makes it hard to see them and it's nice to be able to send a gift that was so well received.

What is there really to say about hot wheels? i grew up with them and i love that my kids (boys and girls! ) are playing with them too! these things take a beating! you can find some great deals online which will save you a bunch of money rather than buying them individually at the store. True care aficionados might get annoyed at hot wheels because some of their cars are a bit fantastical, but hey, kids like funky colors and shapes and shiny things! we buy 20 packs of these things (usually costs less than lunch for two people) and we dole them out to the kids as incentives to clean their rooms, for potty training, whatever you can think of. Such a cheap and awesome gift for kids. My 2 year old loves it. I bought a cheap clamp at a hardware store to clamp the top of the track to a counter or table. My little boy loves putting the cars on the track and watching it go down. I also bought a hot wheels loop to make it more interesting. Still with this 15ft of track by itself it allows plenty of length to create your own track designs or ramps. I wish i had this when i was a kid. The loop was like $20 and other hot wheels track accessories get pretty expensive considering what they do. This is easily the best value hot wheels track.

The new connector design is amazing. Watching my kids play with hotwheels the way i did as a kid has been a true joy, and that joy was made more complete by the tracks staying together perfectly the entire time they played. Which was hours. That never happened when i was a kid (without duct tape or glue). . Christmas miracle.

- X. JudithI wanted to buy some race tracks for my grandson, who was 2 years old, to go with some hot wheels that he liked. We didn't use this as add on to a main race track. My husband said it was ok to get the 2 year old some basic track. It's been a great purchase. My grandson (who is now almost 3) uses it every time he visits. We move the track on top of pillows or chairs or books to give it some lift which makes it really versatile. Great product.

Two sides to this. On one side it's a fair amount of track for the price, plus you get a car. One positive to this track set is that smaller pieces do allow you to do some things that the larger track won't let you unless you cut it into smaller pieces. On the other side, i don't think this package is worth buying for three reasons. The first is that you can buy 2 ft. Track pieces at toys 'r us and you can get about the same amount of track in large piece form for about the same amount of money (minus the car which wasn't that good anyway). The second reason is that these smaller pieces make the track fit together with more track connectors, thus making it more flimsy. The third reason is that the track walls on the track in this set are much shorter than the track walls on the 2 ft. Long track pieces that are sold at toys 'r us. Overall, i wouldn't say not to buy this, but if you are just looking for lots of track length, save your money and go to toys 'r us.

Since i had no idea what i was going to get i figured it would be five cars that you could see driving down the road every day. You know, the ones hot wheels couldn't sell individually so they packaged them for internet sales. Mustang, maibu, pacer, accord, etc. Well thankfully that did not happen. I ended up with five very cool concept cars created by some very talented artists. My son absolutely loves them. And of course they are the same high quality cars that hot wheels has been making since the 1968.
