This was my son's big christmas gift this year and his first lego with this many pieces. He loved building it and has played with it every day since he finished it. It has so many cool, playable features. My son wanted this for christmas and i was lucky enough to find it on sale for $69. 99. It is smaller than the coty police station and not worth $100 in this moms opinion. My husband pointed out you do get quite a few people and vehicles so perhaps that is a matter of perspective as to what you are paying for. All in all fun set, my son loves it!
Lego city's fire station has 2 garages and a firehouse with 3 floors and a fire pole, in 3 modular sections to build, with a total of 9 combinations for the main firehouse and garages. Features the fire chief's car, fire truck with cherry picker and a helicopter. Includes 6 minifigures: 4 male firefighters, a female firefighter and a hot dog stand guy, plus a dog.

This set has tons of playability. My 3 boys can play on it together with the addition of their own creations. The double garages are super fabulous and come with the glass(tile) garage pieces that make up the doors. The large garage can accommodate vehicles without issue. The fire pole is a fun addition and the mini figures slide down it well. The hot dog stand with lime green umbrella is a nice touch. This set comes with 6 mini figures (4 fire fighters plus 1 fire chief (not new) and a hot dog vender) and 1 dog. It also comes with the fire chief's car, fire ladder truck and mini fire helicopter. The ladder truck and mini helicopter both have water hoses that shoot water (12 blue disks). The building itself is comprised of three sections: 1 small garage, 1 large garage (helipad on top) and the center building with offices (map, controls), sleeping quarters (3rd floor bunk beds) and dispatch room(1st floor) complete with really rad revolving door (mini figs are a little tricky to ride/fit but they do fit). What an incredible lego package! two fire engines, a fire station, a firefighter helicopter, a fire chief vehicle and a hot dog stand on fire are all included in this complete lego package. My 4 year old grandson put this kit together with guidance from his parents. He loves it!

What he cannot put together with his one hand, i help him with. When he completes one of these sets, he feels proud that he has accomplished something!
This set is simply amazing. The different building and the level of detail in all the vehicles is great. My son plays with it almost on a daily basis and loves to open the doors and move his mini-figures throughout the main building (especially the revolving door). . My only criticism is that there were major components that were not included in the numbered bags and were instead bundled together in an unlabeled bag. This caught us off guard because the first bag was for the police car and it seemed to be missing the core component (the axle). The piece would have easily fit in the bag. With 14 bags, it took us a while to find the mystery bag.

LEGO CITY Ferry 60119
My kids and i take a ferry once a week so this set was a no brainer to buy. Simple enough for a 5 yr old to complete with some adult help. The flat disks for the bottom that allow the ferry to slide easily across the carpet are a nice touch!
Get ready for another exciting day in lego city! hop in the car and head to the port. Lower the gate and drive onto the ferry and then help the captain set sail. Call and set up your next business meeting as the ferry pulls up to the dock, then drive off the boat and be on your way! .

Another favorite lego set of my boys. My 6 year old built the ferry and car by himself , looking at the instructions. Instructions are clear. It was very easy for him to build, but he is experienced with legos. . The ferry is pretty big . . I bought it for my kids since they love building with legos. This would make a great gift too. . It is a boat made out of lego pieces, my son liked it. I am not sure how much more technical can i get? its water displacement is irrelevant - it does not float. In terms of top speed - with 8 year old pushing it across a table, i would say up to 1 mph.

My 8 year old son loved putting this set together. I thought it didn't look like there was much to it but it is quite good sized and pretty intricate. I love that lego includes a coffee mug with their worker type men - i think its cute in a funny sort of way. What's not to love about legos?
