This was put together by a 7 yo and he thought he could move it so on the floor it went. I felt sad for him and put back together for him. It wasn't hard at all to refix :). It took him almost all day on/off and me 1. 5 hour to fix. He has many star wars sets but the city is a nice change of pace for us. Perfect for the patient lego person. It has some awesome escape plans and leads to discussions on why making better choices in life will keep us out of the slammer! lol. Perfect start to our lego city. -B. Wilson

This is a great set. My 5-year-old got it for christmas and he had fun building all the pieces by himself. It took him 3 sessions on 3 days, because the 69-steps for each module get a bit tiring for a 5-year-old. Now that it's completed, we bought some lego road plates and started to create a little town with some older lego sets and some new creations out of the big lego bin. The kids have a ton of fun with it. Definitely worth it.

This set is simply amazing. The different building and the level of detail in all the vehicles is great. My son plays with it almost on a daily basis and loves to open the doors and move his mini-figures throughout the main building (especially the revolving door). . My only criticism is that there were major components that were not included in the numbered bags and were instead bundled together in an unlabeled bag. This caught us off guard because the first bag was for the police car and it seemed to be missing the core component (the axle). The piece would have easily fit in the bag. With 14 bags, it took us a while to find the mystery bag.
Lego city's fire station has 2 garages and a firehouse with 3 floors and a fire pole, in 3 modular sections to build, with a total of 9 combinations for the main firehouse and garages. Features the fire chief's car, fire truck with cherry picker and a helicopter. Includes 6 minifigures: 4 male firefighters, a female firefighter and a hot dog stand guy, plus a dog.

My nephew slapped his hands over his mouth and practically screamed when he opened the box. The cute little guy loves it! at his age, he just mixes the pieces in with the sets he already has, but it was still worth it for that reaction. It's a nice kit, comes with a lot of little tableaus to create, like a hot dog cart on fire. The pole is pretty cool as well, the little lego guys actually spin right down it. Which could get racy. I got this on sale for $60 - what a steal! i love that it makes a wide variety of pieces (helicopter and firetruck! ) and there are women fire fighters. Thanks, lego! . . My only reason for 4 stars is that the box came with a large puncture in the front. I am giving this as a gift and would rather wrap a nice box than one with a hole in it.

My husband, robert, has had a stroke and is paralyzed on his left (dominant side). This set has given him something to do to occupy his time. What he cannot put together with his one hand, i help him with. When he completes one of these sets, he feels proud that he has accomplished something!

City Police - Money Transporter
Grab the handcuffs; a crook is breaking into the van! use the crowbar to pry open the trapdoor on the roof and then drop down into the back of the money transporter. Pry open the safe and stuff the backpack full of money and jewels. Load the hand truck with another safe then break out of the van and try to get away. Chase after the crook and help the police officer catch him and put the cuffs on him! includes two minifigures: a police officer and a crook. Stack the safes on the hand truck and roll them away.
