I have ordered another of this volleyball. This one is better than the other glow ball available on online store. Lasts longer with much more glow light visible. 3 batteries lasts for over 2. 5 hours of play which is more than enough. I would like to see the option of buying the internal light kit as a addon as the ball last much longer that the battery powered light system. -X. Aldana

I bought 3 basketballs and 3 footballs so that santa could hand them out at our annual "hot cocoa with santa" party for my sons. The glow in the dark basketballs and footballs were a great hit! the younger boys (11 year olds) went right outside and played for hours in the dark. As did the older boys (16 year olds). Be realistic when buying- for the price you are not paying for something that will last you years of hard, regular use. Ours lasted about four months of almost daily use before the light started to dim, which is expected. My kids love these! everyone keeps asking where we got them! it does really work well in the evening. Have had it since christmas, but the batteries in the basketball are already starting to go. Both led's are fading very quickly and sometimes won't come on at all. I'm not sure of the battery type as they were pre-installed when we received the package, all i had to do was pump up the balls. The football and soccer ball get less use right now so their lights are functioning properly at the moment. Also, the black rubber edging is peeling off. I hope that it will continue to work, this is a brilliant idea!

- I. HarrisonPros:. -cool! we live on a busy street and people constantly pull over and talk to us just to ask us where we got this ball. -i have not had any issues with premature deflation so far. When you hold this thing, it almost feels like it should be hemorrhaging air, but it does not. -bright! this isn't some faint light being put off, the whole ball glows orange/red and is 100% visible at dusk. - good grip! . - water resistant! . - battery life seems solid. Should easily get a whole year out of the batteries. The ball turns off after about 30-60 seconds of not being used. The light only turns on when you simulate or actually bounce it. You can toss it up in the air and catch it gently and the light will not activate. This is good if you transport the ball in a car or bag, as normal movements and light bumps will not drain the battery, but a real bouce always turns the lights on. . Cons:. - not a "serious" ball. This is for playing in the driveway, or with kids. Not for a serious game of street ball. - the plugs that hold the lights in can cause uneven bounces, but only if you bounce the ball right on the plug, and the plug is misaligned. If you check the plugs and make sure they are in flush, you can minimize this, but i dont see any perfect solution. With this ball you will have some slight mis-bounces, but nothing that will ruin a game. - the ball feels like one day its just going to break, or stop holding air. It just has that "i will break one day in the not too distant future, " feel to it. I can't really attest to this yet, but i will update my review if this happens. For the price, and for what it does, it is worth the cost even if it only lasts a year or two. . Overall worth the buck. Especially if you play ball at night or have kids.

My husband was hesitant to purchase this because we are very serious basketball players and fans but the ball is great. It feels like an official ball, and come with a tool and good instructions in case the battery needs to be changed on the lights. We also like that the ball is smart enough to know when you are using it and when to turn off so you don't need to worry about your kids forgetting to turn off the ball and running the batteries down. Ball really glows! it doesn't go out super quick like other glow balls we have had. You actually have time to catch it first. The only negative is it is kind of heavy for a football. My son doesn't play with it as much as the other glow city balls because of that reason. He likes the soccer ball and basketball best.

This is a really nifty ball for night-time play. We ordered it for a teenager party and it was a huge hit. The ball is very bright at night. Has an internal led light that uses 3 button batteries (included). As described the ball turns off after about 5 minutes of no activity, and then lights back up when kicked. In our case, the batteries lasted for about 6 hours of intermittent play. The batteries are very easy to change - you pull out a little rubber plug in the ball (using the included tool - but a screwdriver would work too), use the tool to pull out the 1-inch long battery stack and attached led light, slide off the clear plastic sleeve and replace the batteries. Put it back together and then push the light and battery stack back into the compartment with your thumb and then replace the rubber plug. Done. I was hesitant about buying this football for my grandson who just turned 13 after reading some of the reviews. This football is super fun! no problem inflating, it took all of a minute. It glows so bright and. It feels really good in your hand and the quality is great. Don't listen to the poor reviews! i live in colorado and even if it was 40 degrees tonight all the boys were out in the driveway passing this bright orange football in the dark! very fitting since the broncos just won the super bowl !

Glowcity wrote me asked me how i liked the product and i told them about our mishap. They didn't have to, but they sent me a new football. I purchased this football last year for christmas and just bought 2 more for christmas this year. My 13 year old and his friends use this football a lot! when the batteries are new, the glow it awesome. The batteries last a decent amount of time. Only problem we have it is the go to football for my son and hit friends day or night because of the feel. Since he uses it during the day and cannot turn the light off, he wears out the batteries quicker than most. I am buying a 2nd one so he can use one during the day and kill the batteries and use one at night. We have never had a problem with it not turning on! . Would recommend this product, just wish it had a way to turn off light when being used during the daytime.
