This was a great gift for my 6 year old nephew. In fact, it was his favorite christmas gift. He even asked if i could get the same thing again for him next year. The product was as described. It took me and my nephew about 3 hours to find all of the gems. It probably would have taken him forever, on his own. He got really excited every time we came across a new one. My 7 year old daughter loves these things but she always has a difficult time digging out the gems. I wish they made it a little less dense so make it easier to dig out. We ended up throwing the thing in a bowl of water to make it easier but created a huge mud mess. We also didn't get all the gems that were pictured in the booklet. About 4 of them were different so we couldn't figure out what they were. All in all my daughter was happy with it so that's all that counts.
