Melissa & Doug Hearts and Flowers Wooden Bead Set of 2 With 90+ Beads for Jewelry-Making Review (8255)
6 year old granddaughter loved it! very easy to use until she gets a bit older and can manage the more complicated "friendship bracelets". Very colorful, nicely designed set. Fun to do together (needed a little help with preparing the clasp, but on another necklace she actually created her *own* way of doing the clasp! while not ideal (didn't tell her that! ), it works just fine, especially since it was her creation! ). Her 4 year old sister got in on the act too and was easy enough for her, but she definitely needed help with the clasp. Only one minor drawback - and i'm not reducing stars - the larger heart is top heavy. They put the hole in the middle (side to side) of the heart but the top of the heart is too heavy. So it was forever falling forward. The hole should have been put in the upper portion of the heart. I ended up gluing the two pieces either side of this center heart on her necklace and that worked. Shouldn't have had to do that though. Otherwise a great gift and fun activity! -C. Diana
