Got this game for my son for christmas and we played it every night during winter break. We laughed and plotted and laughed some more. We love this game - and the extension pack as well. This is a great way for us to spend time with our teenage kids!

Our whole family has loved this game! it is simple enough for my 6-year-old to understand, yet engaging enough for my teenager to enjoy. I came across this game when i was looking for things to do during family night. The game seemed simple enough, so i bought it. The first time we tried it, at a family reunion, we were not super impressed but decided to give it another try. The second game had much different results. Once we had a better understanding of the rules and strategy of the game, it was a blast. Turned into one of the most intense and loudest games that we've played together, with everyone on the edge of their seats hoping we didn't get an exploding kitten while trying to sabotage everyone else. This game is the requested every time i visit my parent's house and everyone gets upset if we forget to bring it with us. We've played lots of games, cards against humanities, apples to apples, etc. , but it's this game with it's fast paced and short games that is played time and time again. There's a reason this was so successful on kickstarter, so do yourself a favor and buy for you and your friends to play. You are going to have a blast.

Great game for the family. We had a little bit of a learning curve before we were all understanding what was going on and how to play. After that it was great. My only negative i would give it is the quality of the cards. They very easily crease and wrinkle after a couple of nights of playing. These definitely aren't high quality poker cards here. This game is hilarious, and a lot of fun! warning: it does take a bunch of reading to understand the game play, and then it seems to start off pretty slow, but don't let that dissuade you. Keep playing. (and if you introduce new people to the game, just jump right in and teach them as you go rather than trying to explain all the rules first. ) it gets pretty strategic toward the end, and reading the cards in the meantime will keep your humor up.

The artwork is entertaining, i'm sure most of us who've purchased this game early on are matt inman (the oatmeal) fans, so for that alone i could give this four stars. I especially love the nope cards, each one has different artwork. As to the game itself, it is very much like uno in it's game play so that it's easy to learn and the game progresses quickly. We played it with a group of friends over thanksgiving day weekend. They were new to the game and it was quick to teach them the rules and game play. We played a few rounds of this game and then moved on to a longer, more involved game, so exploding kittens was a good starter to our game night. I would definitely pick this game over uno in the future. I will agree with another reviewer that you should pay close attention to the rules, while not complex it is easy to overlook something based on past game experience. For example, the first session i played this, i somehow overlooked a wonderful aspect of the special combos for collecting two or three of a kind cards. I collected the cards and used them as a pair to discard, but failed to realize that i could steal a random card from another player. The second session i played this game, this feature was pointed out to me and after playing it this way, the game was greatly enhanced. I do think this game is more enjoyable with 4-5 people. Also, i think as with any game, it can be more or less fun depending upon who plays it with you. Overall, i think if you're looking for a fast paced, lighthearted game that's easy to learn with some irreverent humor thrown in, this game with leave a big goofy grin on your face.

Ordered this for my mom. She played the game not too long ago and fell in love with it. I read reviews that the cup was cheap, but it's less then $10 so i won't complain. It's a plastic cup, but that's no biggie. It comes with everything you need and the instructions are clear. You don't have to use the cup if you don't like and the dice aren't cheap like they're going to break. They do seem like they aren't made of the strongest material, but they aren't going to break. Overall, great for the price! a nice, fun gift that the whole family can enjoy.

This game is fun for the whole family. Basically, you try to reach 10, 000 or higher before your opponents. You roll six dice and must have a "counter" each time you roll. Every counter can be left out of the next roll, but you may throw a counter back if you have at least one counter each turn. If none of your dice count for anything, you get a farkle and pass the dice to the next player. You may stop rolling before you farkle, but sometimes it is a good idea to risk a farkle when you are far behind the lead opponent. If you farkle, you lose all points for that turn. For the most part, the best things to roll are 1's (worth 100 each) or 5's (worth 50 each). Sometimes you can get a lot of points in one turn (rolling a straight from 1 to 6, for example, gets you 1500 points). . I can't copy the whole rules here. This is a very fun game. As you roll it is all or nothing, so if you keep going you could either significantly up your score, or loose everything. Our family has played it a ton over the last year of owning and have found consistently playing it safe does not work, you have to take chances. My kids are 11, 14, and 16, and (all boys is that matters) and we love this game!
