Prologue
Our 9-year old son has a lot of mega nerf guns so we are constantly in search of the best bang for our buck when it comes to replacement bullets. We recently hosted a nerf birthday party consisting of 11 kids with many mega guns. We bought two types of bullets - generic brand mega bullets and nerf brand mega bullets. The nerf brand was $10. 99 for 20 and the generic brand was $9. 95 for 30. After 2. 5 hours of aggressive, crazy, action in both optimal (indoor) and snowy, wet conditions, the nerf brand bullets that were retrieved were in excellent condition. The generic bullets lost about half of their tips and were jammed in many guns. Aside from the nerf brand getting quite dirty, their tougher foam and glued tips held up well and were the bullets that all the kids were running for. Let's face it - this hobby is an expensive one! i'd love to find a more inexpensive replacement bullet for the mega series, but so far i have gone through 2 different kids of generic replacement mega bullets and they just simply can't hold up in comparison to the nerf brand. I'm done looking elsewhere. From now on i will only buy the nerf brand. Ok, so i am 50 and work in one of those places that allows you to wear flip-flops and allows for some mischief at the end of the day to relax after grinding it on the phones. When i started, they had the little foam darts that people would toss around by hand. Too light and hard to get any distance on. I saw these and made an impulse purchase. Oh, man! these are great! you can hurl these and get great distance! the best part is they emit a sound like mortars in old war movies. I had no idea but an added bonus. It's light hearted fun and a goofy toy that people at my work place get a kick out of.

These dart's are great for hard nerfer's, but kids not so much. These darts lack aerodynamic tips, but do have incredibly tough dart heads. Foam density is awesome! these darts have great foam density and after leaving them outside for 8 months (exposing them to rain, sun, snow, etc) these darts still work great, besides them being discolored and most of the adhesive for the head gone. . Pros:. . -these dart's are perfect for modified blasters. . -these darts are extremely tough and durable. . -high foam density. . -hard tips (really really hard tips). . Cons:. . - darts do hurt when they hit skin, and even leave a small welt when hit hard enough. . -these can and will make some kid's cry. . -darts have a flat head (really bad for range)

These darts are the highest quality replacement darts for nerf blasters, bar none. They have solid tips with no air hole, creating a much better balanced and more aerodynamic projectile. However, the fatal flaw that prevents them from being the only darts you will ever need, is that they do not work well with flywheel blasters. At the very least, the rapidstrike cs-18 does not perform well using this dart. The dart is a little too big around to feed through the firing mechanism properly, and it'll either jam, or go 5 feet. However, if you're more of a spring/compressed air kind of person, you can't possibly ask for better darts. More range, better accuracy, and they hurt considerably more than nerf's official darts. These are very clearly designed for teenagers and adults to shoot at eachother with. I would not recommend kids to use these. . Pros:. -highest quality craftsmanship. -better accuracy. -better range. . Our office has recently been infected with the nerf craze, a combination of unobservant cleaning crew, poor marksmanship, and dart hoarding had resulted in remarkably unimpressive fire fights. We need resupply munitions. We needed them quickly and we needed them cheaply. . Online store handled the quickly. Yosoo handled the cheaply. . These darts out perform the official nerf elite darts that came with our guns. We haven't taken any official measurements, but they have noticeably higher velocity and range. The other reviews did not exaggerate, from close range, with a decent gun (or overhand throw), they do sting a little. I might be hesitant to use with children, but they're perfect for office warmongers and would be cubicle assassins.
- K. GarnerThose of you with younger kids: i strongly recommend against these; get the nerf brand. Everyone else: this is a good value. . Nerf brand darts have a hollow tip with an air hole to soften impact. These darts have a solid rubber-ish-plastic tip. This is actually pretty awesome for distance and accuracy, but it does mean that the darts hurt more when they hit bare skin, especially from close range. Older kids and adults can probably shrug the hard hits off, but my six year old didn't handle them very well :(. . I'm giving five stars because of the quality of the product for the price, despite our bad experience.
These darts are very similar to nerf elite darts in every way, but are a little better in that they fire slightly harder due to the foam that is used in the shaft. They have a squishy head and have a very similar flight pattern of nerf darts. Some of the tips do come off and need a re-gluing, but you can not beat the price and very few tips have come off. I think they have mostly come off due to how hard they hit walls and doors.

I got this to shoot at coworkers. There is a kind of nerf cold war type situation, and i wanted something to defend my cubicle with. I really like the mega darts. They seem to fly better and go farther. Plus the whistling sound makes everyone flinch. The bow it powerful. I shanked a shot and it went about 75 feet. It was impressive. The sights are not great, you aim just over someone's head and you'll hit there belly button. It's not hard to pull the string back and there is a definite stop when the spring is fully loaded. Some caveats:. 1. It makes a lot of noise. It creaks when the string is pulled and it has a loud thomp when you let it loose. 2. It is not easy to make good hits. Like a real bow, the release is where you will mess everything up. I like to wrap my thumb over the string and then tuck it behind my index finger. When i release, i just pop my thumb foreword. 3. The string pulled from the bottom. The string pulls the spring down from the bottom. The top it held solid in place. It is a weird sensation, but it is a nerf toy. . Santa brought this for our 2. 5 year old son, and he loves it. The string is easy enough for him to pull back. And for a child this age, it's not easy to find a nerf toy that accommodates their lack of strength. The handle is also small enough for him to hold with one hand. . It comes with 4 "arrows" and 4 clips to hold them. . One of the coolest features is the "scope" sight. Looking through it, there's an orange stick at the end of the tube. As far as a nerf toy is concerned, it's surprisingly accurate. It's a lot of fun! . . It flies quite far horizontally, really 45 ft, and even 20 ft straight up and more (our ceiling is that high)

On sale for $13 and change. My son has a lot of nerf guns. This quickly became his go to. Rotating cylinder doesn't jam like the clip magazine guns. Mega darts are powerful, and they whistle. Spend less time chasing / worrying about darts. Buy a bunch of extra official nerf mega darts on sale. Generic darts generally have a hard plastic tip (ouch), or fall apart, or don't fit right. I kind of want to buy another one of these guns for myself. Recommended. . I don't give five stars to anything.

A fantastic addition to the mega line of blasters, the cycloneshock combines the versatility of the maverick and strongarm, with the power and size of the new elite mega line. . This blaster is far more portable than the centurion, but with the same six dart capacity. This is twice the capacity of the magnus, and is much easier to reload and prime. However those advantages do make it a bit bulkier. Unfortunately, while reloading the cs is much easier than the magnus or centurion, it's not quite as easy as its smaller revolver predecessors. The cylinder does not open to the side like the maverick did, so reloading requires you to rotate the cylinder in-place to access all of the holes. This is a minor inconvenience really, but does reduce how rapidly one can use this blaster. . The biggest complaint is the lack of slam fire - an ability that allows the strongarm to have one of the fastest rates of fire around. . Ultimately though, this blaster rocks. Ranges are great, rof is still good, and mega darts are just plane epic. . Highly recommended for older nerf enthusiasts. I'm not sure this would be great for smaller children, given the weight - though the slide is surprisingly easy considering the power it packs.
- K. NevaThis has been a fun gun. I got this for my office as we have a fun environment and get into nerf battles. I got this gun to be the ultimate revenge power, ha ha. It is indeed fun. I don't know if i'd recommend this for kids or not. It does pack a punch with it's big darts. But, the nice things is they don't actually sting like the little ones becuase the power is spread out a bit with the bigger head. So, they may actually be ok for kids, you just don't want to probably be hit in the face like one. . This gun isn't the best for a quick shot off, especially if you don't keep it loaded, as you need to load a bullet, and then turn the barrel over one spot before you can cock the gun to shoot. That is probably the only bad thing about this (and obviously, that's a small price to pay for a nice, big, sweet gun). . This thing goes off like a cannon. Everyone in the office knows when it's come out. I'd highly recommend this. It shoots far, and pretty straight (like all guns, it starts to get off a bit as darts get older). You definitely don't have to offset much for drop, especially in an office setting as it shoots so fast and hard that it doesn't have time to drop down. All in all, it's a great gun, and a lot of fun, especially for the price.
This nerf gun shipped and arrived to me very fast! this gun is powerful for it's size and the darts are huge. It hurts when you get hit by it and it is very accurate so if your trying to shoot a enemy or just to prank someone your in luck. I use this in battle along with my retaliator nerf gun and it is the prefect combo. Also this nerf gun has a big grip so even adults can use it. I'm 15 and it feels nice in my hands and i like the way it fires. This is cheaper then airsoft and paintball. If you have enough people you can have a nerf which i do all the time and i seem to like nerf the most.

Nerf N-Strike Elite DualStrike Blaster
While it won't win many beauty contests, the dualstrike is a blaster that boasts both solid performance and a neat concept. Instead of being restricted to either compact elite darts or the hitting power and intimidation factor of mega darts, the dual strike is able to load 3 of each dart type into its 6 barrels. A nifty selector on the right side allows quick swapping of dart types, and both sets of barrels utilize a smart air restrictor system so having any barrel loaded will work. The dualstrike itself is a bit unwieldy, being rather bulky toward the front, but it's not heavy by any stretch and is reasonably comfortable. The priming handle is large and solid, making this blaster a breeze to use, and the trigger guard and grip are comfy, too. Despite its aesthetic shortcomings, the dualstrike comes away as a great performer thanks to its flexibility and reasonable power, and its large chassis provides for broad modification opportunities, if that's something you want to do.

I really enjoy this one. It's nice to have 6 shots in one small nerf gun. I have two kids (age 6 and 4) who have this same one and they also love it. My 4 year old tried using the ex3 triad and he couldn't pull the trigger because it is a rocker design. He can do this one which is a pull back trigger design and easier for his small fingers.
