My granddaughter has this chocolate teddy bear in the larger size. Coco is a little too big to have as a snuggle in bed, so i purchased the smaller size (12 bear) for her to have to cuddle at naps. . The small bear works well as a topper to the standard size stocking we will present her at christmas and as she loves her big teddy, we know that she will love this one, too. I got this bear because i collect stuffed animals and lately had been doing build a bear ones and wanted something differet. The bear arrived a day early which was great and came sealed in a plastic bag inside the box. He is absolutely perfect and looks like the picture. His head is slightly smaller, but not noticeable. He has all the markings the picture has even the facial expression. He is super soft and cuddly. Yes, if you do press your face in him and sniff you get a light chemical smell from cleaning before shipment, but give him a spritz of perfume or such and he is good to go. He is 18 inches in length as the listing says and if you know build a bear their stuffed animals are 15 inches in length which puts this bear only slightly bigger then theirs. Over all this bear is exactly what the listing says and he perfectly soft and squishy being only lightly stuffed as says! he is perfect for kids and adults! -M. Susan

I purchased this stuffed raccoon for my first grandchild, and when it arrived it was exactly as shown and so. Very. Soft! i'm sure it will be a cute addition to the nursery, and hopefully little one will love it until it's as real as the velveteen rabbit!

It's small and very soft and cuddly. I would buy this for either a child or just someone that loves raccoons as it can be easily cuddled with, or simply placed anywhere for viewing.

This teddy is just the cutest. I bought it because it was a lighting deal and my son has been sick with a terrible stomach flu for the past week. Adorable face with its lopsided grin! looks just like the picture. Was bought for a boy who loves it. Not too feminine. The fur is shaggy. When i first got it, i gave it a good shake to loosen the fur and some were sticking too far out that i just trimmed with fabric scissors. Probably would not be bear of choice for a toddler with sticky fingers. Perfect cuddle size and sits up on its own.

This is my second philbin. I gave my first one to my sister who i thought needed a bear to give her comfort. Children know the secret to a wonderful bear and sometimes adults need to re-visit the gift that a perfect bear can give. My chocolate philbin was infused with lots of love and joy so he needed to be passed onto her. I gave him the assignment of bringing her comfort and he very willingly went to help her out. I bought the second cream colored philbin because i missed the first one and they honestly help me sleep. These bears are the best bears because of the under-stuffing and remarkable softness. The 18" size is perfect for cuddling. I have two small jellycats i love but this gund bear is my absolute favorite. I bought this bear for a little girl who lives in honduras. I loved it so much, that i had a hard time letting it go. It is a very soft, plush bear. The quality of this stuffed animal is evident. The size is perfect for hugging. I'm a "stuffed animal snob" in that stuffed animals have to pass certain tests. And this bear surpassed them all! i searched everywhere in local stores before giving up and turning to an online search. I was hesitant to buy without actually holding the item in my hand, but in this case. My fears were completely unfounded. I highly recommend this bear!

I always sleep with a stuffed animal stuck in my arms but my current stuffy (a dog i've had since birth) had gotten very old, and threadbare. I was worried about his safety and didn't want him to lose a limb so i put him on a my headboard so he can be near my without sustaining further damage. I tried hugging a pillow, but it didn't feel right and i could sleep so i figured i'd order a doggie stand in. He came on time, and was stinking adorable right out of the box! i thought he would have been a tiny bit bigger, but really he's the perfect size for a snuggle. The expression on his face is so unique from other stuffed bears and his fur is so soft with little curlies. I named him nanook, the inuit name for "polar bear" and he's been sleeping with me ever since. He's even come along to a few doctors appointments for moral support. I have anxiety and giving a bear a squeeze is very comforting. Sometimes i even add a drop of lavender to his paw for even more comfort. . He's perfect!
I got this bear as a gift for a friend's daughter's 1 year old party. I primarily got it because of the name "gund" (a renowned stuff animal company) and the fact that he's just so darn cute. "philbin" is very much as cute in person as he is in the photo. He's soft and cuddy and has no parts that would endanger a small child. My only problem with philbin is that he's not as big as i thought he was. Maybe it's just me but when i saw the size at 18", i mistakenly assumed he was 18" in height sitting up. That's why when i got him and opened the box, i thought, "wow, he's small". He's actually maybe 12" (from butt to ears) sitting down. You get 18" if you lie him on his back and measure from his paws to his ears. So, for those looking for an 18" bear sitting upright, this one might be a little small for your tastes. Other than that, it's a great stuffed animal.
