Well i can see where all the bad reviews are coming from but it's still a great idea but shouldn't be so much money for just a 12x12 flat piece with 128 magnets in it. I think you need to change the title so people are not so confused as to what they are purchasing. It was misleading to some but i read it has in contained 128 magnets on a 12x12 board. Not that it came with 128 magnets pieces that connect to it like some. Doesn't mean it needs a bad stars for that. Just simply change the title! it's a great idea so now you don't have to waste 4 pieces to make a floor. However the price will drop after being out for a while right is that not how new products go? the magnets are nice and strong i thought because it was so flat that it wouldn't hold the other pieces but it did great. We have built a tall downtown building and it did just fine. Not once has any pieces fallen off even the round piece kit you can purchase. Hey if it makes the kids happy i'm happy! i only gave it one less star cause the title is misleading please change your title.

Take your magnetic tiles to new heights. Wow this building plate is pricey but well worth it. After building a tall structure with any of your existing sets add the stabilizer building plate and you wont believe your eyes what this set will do for you. View some of the pictures we added.

We are a magna-tile family. This is a great piece to have if you are going to be collecting the sets and accessories. The stabilizer comes with a 12x12 powerful magnetic building plate with 128 magnets built inside the red transparent structure. This is how it connects with the tiles and keeps them sturdy. It works excellent to keep your structures from falling and you can build twice as high. I think younger kids will find the tiles much easier to build with if they have the stabilizer and the older kids can make more elaborate structures with the stability this offers. I have had no issue with the stabilizer scratching my floor tiles and it also allows for building on carpets or outside areas. The base will get some scratches as it is built upon but one expects wear and tear on building type toys. Also the product description states there are a ton of magnets included. If you are familiar with magna-tiles you would likely understand they are refering to internal magnets built in to the structure but if you are buying to use with other brands and are less familiar with magna-tiles you may not understand this concept and assume there magnets included that you can physically pick up and use. I understood because although this is not a magna-tile product per say. That particular brand makes their accessories for the most part with internal magnets as well. I would recommend this item for any magnetic tile builder. It allows for more fun and creativity with the base . You can make larger and more grand structures. -Notice from J. Jackson, East Sussex

This is a 12x22 magnetic building plate with 128 magnets built in. This plate is compatible with all other bands . The stabilizer plate makes it easy to build on carpet tile or other surfaces . It is made from hard plastic that should last a good while . It is the perfect addition to the tiles . It's perfect for using as the strong center pieces when making something like a castle or tall building. It gives extra stability to the main support structure of the design, letting kids build even larger and more ambitious creations. It's one large solid flat piece that has magnets inside of it in the same areas it would if it was lots of smaller squares connected together. Clean up is easy. Excellent product! i will tell my friends and family about this board!

We, recently bought this and he sets them up and makes believe that he is a bus driver and is driving through the city picking up students for school. We have stops in every neighborhood and the little guys even have names and magic powers. He likes to pretend they are all friends and that they can talk. His favorite thing is playing under our dogs because the "big monster" is coming and he needs to save the children. This base makes it easy for him to build tall buildings to make believe they are in the big city. The toys are made of a nice material. It seems pretty sturdy (just ask the dog) and they stand up real nice (it hurts to step on them). They aren't dollar store quality and the colors are nicely done.

Why would i need a magnetic plate? well, if you have kids and own any of those magnet tiles sets you need one of these. The plate is 12"x12" which is actually a decent size. Before we had this we used to use the square tiles to make a floor and it would take up a lot of pieces so this is much better. . The plate has little magnets all within it. It works great with the magnet tiles and they stand up sturdy. Now we can build homes, towers, and apartment buildings, lol. I was able to get a bunch of stuff with this plate and when you have the plate, the tiles, the cars, the little yellow figurines, and different shape sets it's a great all day worth of fun. . My girls love playing with them and they can be very educational. They build all types of different things and love building ice cream trucks with the cars. The plate makes building much better and easier so it's worth having if you have the tiles. I definitely recommend having at least one magnetic plate. It's great quality, a solid plate, an works well. It works so well i literally almost ended up in the hospital because of it. . Now this plate is plastic so if you have steps inside your house i advise keeping this plate as far away from them as possible. My wonderful daughter decided to leave this on our stairs. The stairs are steep since upstairs was a renovated attic. Upon coming down the stairs and not seeing the plate i stepped on it and you would've thought i stepped on a skateboard because i went completely airborne and after 4 days i am still feeling it, lol '. It's ok to laugh, after jumping around in pain i decided it was an accident an no one would get in trouble. It was one for the books!
