Review for pokemon moon nintendo 3ds

Price was $34.90. This pokémon game really feels like a next step, it's crammed with so many features, it'd overwhelmingly exciting, nothing feels difficult to get into. If you're looking for a challenging game, i've never felt any pokemon game is challenging, and the same applies here. I would have given it 5 stars if they had further simplified how to get competitive pokémon, they did introduce new mechanics to make ivs better, but you still have to farm natures, and spend time making different sets of the same pokémon for the competitive scene, if you just want to have fun it's an amazing game. If you're looking to get into its competitive side, just keep in mind you still have to spend a lot of time breeding, grinding evs, getting the right nature, the right moves, and hidden abilities. I'll go ahead and update my review if i happen to find its much easier to go competitive.

Foreword

In my opinion, sun and moon have done a lot of things right, but ruin it by forcing you through what seems like a game-length tutorial. I've been playing since rby, so this is very frustrating - to the point i completely stopped playing for a week and wouldn't have continued if my gf didn't keep trying to get me to. I would give this game 3 stars, but my gf loves it and doesn't mind anything i've griped about, so she would give it 5. Overall 4 stars from us. . P. S. I've beaten the game now and restarted (custom starters run), and it's much better now that i know what to expect. It's not as grating as it used to be. Pokémon Moon - Nintendo 3DS Review (CTR)

Game freak needed to release a new pokemon game to reinvigorate the series, and pokemon moon is that game. I've been fan since the beginning so i was a little skeptical about the change up from gym leaders to island hoping, but the experience is still 100% pokemon adventure. The graphics a step in the right direction with fully a animated protagonists and npcs as opposed the classic big headed sprites of previous games. Keeping with clothing customization from pokemon x/y was a smart move as well, especially now that you can see the details much more. I can keep describing how great it is but you really need to experience it for yourself. Again, it's not your typical 8 gym, catch legendary, then fight the elite four adventure, but it is definitely worth your time. -R. Mathis

Pokémon Moon Nintendo 3dsPokémon Moon - Nintendo 3DS (Switch to Mobile/Desktop Version)

Pros:. . At first, i really did not like the alolan theme, thinking that it was cheesey, but i see it was made in good taste and actually appreciate the immersion the game makers have established. . If you're a player that loves the fine details of the game, and recognizes the effort game developers put into making every aspect interesting, this is the right game for you. It's chock full of great fun minigames, pretty good customization, and a lot of quality of life improvements. I haven't loved a pokemon game this much since pokemon ruby-sapphire! . . Cons:. . The only con is that a lot of the male character customization is limited and seem low effort, especially compared to that of the female character's! i wish the devs would focus more on male-player customization- or at least provided a way to change player gender. Men like a diversified look and occasionally don long hair too, i promise.

Nintendo 3DS - Flame Red

Nintendo 3ds includes two screens. The bottom touch screen makes use of a telescoping stylus that is stored in the unit itself. The top screen displays 3d visuals to the naked eye. Looking at the screen is like peering through a window into a world where characters and objects have true depth. The system also has a 3d depth slider that lets players select the level of 3d they enjoy the most. The 3d effect can be ratcheted up to the highest level, scaled back to a more moderate setting or even turned off completely, depending on the preference of the user. Nintendo 3ds features: 3d upper screen, touch lower screen, new input & controls, inward-facing camera, 3d depth slider, wireless switch, dual outward-facing cameras, augmented reality (ar) games and built-in applications, circle pad, gyro sensor, motion sensor and pedometer.

Each hardware manufacturer has multiple viable offerings derived either directly, or evolving from the respective ds and playstation portable product lines. All of these devices are impressive multifunctional devices, with designs meant to encourage gameplay on the go, integration with the internet, backwards compatibility to previous games, and so on, but each goes about this in different ways. Taking a few minutes to examine the main features, and getting more familiar with available options, accessories and possible limitations of each handheld is the optimal way to determine which is the best choice for a player. The F.A.Q. for Pokémon Moon - Nintendo 3ds (CTR)

Absolutely my favorite main-series pokemon game to date, especially since x&y (which i was not a fan of overall). The characters are so much more likable and the shift to a more interesting, story-focused experience is really appreciated. It offers a lot of fresh new things to the formula while still keeping that undeniable pokemon feel. Even though they've clearly made certain aspects "easier" for the new audience brought in by pokemon go, as a veteran i feel it doesn't interfere with the experience and it still feels engaging and fresh enough to enjoy whole-heartedly. . My only warning is, if playing on the original 3ds, the framerate can dip significantly during things like double-battles or totem battles. It doesn't dampen the overall experience for me personally, but be aware that it's optimized far better for the new 3ds systems and you may notice some bad framerates if not playing on the newer system. . Technical gripes aside, i hope to see more games following sun&moon's lead in the series' future. Alola!

A number of questions have been asked here.

Q&A

(0) Question: Can i enslave pokemons to do my duty

(1) Question: Is there a difference between both games. like different pokemon. or are they the same for each game?

(6) Question: The game is suppose to release on the 18th, but i'm seeing that the delivery estimate is on the 22nd. will i still get the game on its release date?

(note) Question: where/how to get Nintendo (manufacturer's brand) accessories & similiar Nintendo's products

Answer:

Click the marked text to copy link to Clipboard

People should do research on actual gaming websites instead of here. It's 4/5 stars for me. The package from online store itself was perfect it's just the gameplay for me. Pokemon down the years has been increasingly easier and this is no exception with more "features" to easily battle. It makes veterans like myself want something more challenging.

Best pokémon moon - nintendo 3ds (ctr) in review

Huge changes to the pokemon formula since pokemon x & y, no longer as it's strictly battle and collecting focused (although still present) as they added variety of mechanics to switch things up a bit and to bring more variety in gameplay. Changes include:. . 1. No hms. No longer do you have to carry around a hm slave (s). This has bothered me in the past games as i have to restrict 1 or 2 slots out of my party of 6 to help traverse certain areas of the world. In the place of hms there are poké rides where you can ride pokemon interacting with them on the world map, some you may not be able to access until you've completed mission within the game. . 2. Is it super effective? . No longer do you have to look up guides online (unless it's your first encounter) to tell if a move is super effective or not very effective against the pokemon you're up against. After you battle a pokemon once, the game will tell you what moves is super effective or not in the battle menu once you encounter the same pokemon the second time. . 3. No traditional gyms. No longer do you have to battle your way through gym after gym to prove you're the best out of brute force. There are 4 islands in the game, each of which are controlled by 4 island kahunas. To get to them you have to get pass trail captains and todum pokemon. Trail captain will give you quizzes, side quests to complete, and/or fight in traditional battles. Todum pokemon. Basically typical pokemon you find the wild, but significantly stronger and have grunts that help them battle. . 4. Rotom pokédex. Typical pokedex, but with a face and personality attached to it. . 5. Alola forms. Basically different forms of pokemon you seen in previous generations. Either it's there physical form that is different and/or the pokemon's typing. . 6. Z-moves. With a z-ring and a z-crystal you can use a pokemon's ultimate move once per battle. It's not like mega evolutions where it stays constant. . 7. Qr scanner. You can now scan qr codes to get event pokemon. . 8. Battle royal. A 4 player free-for-all where the battle ends after all of one's pokemon trainer's faints. They tally the win-losses of each trainer and the one with best stats at the end wins. . 9. Hyper training. Once a pokemon reaches level 100, they can go through hyper training which can improve a pokemon's iv. . 10. Poké pelago. Your pc box now has functionality to it. It's like a day care sort of thing, instead of just depositing your pokemon, you can passively train them in the pc or have them search for items. . 11. Festival plaza. An online mode where you can battle other trainers and trade with them. You get festial coins for each interaction which you can spend on clothes, shop or upgrade your pokemon's stats. There's also missions you can undertake to get more coins. . 12. Night and day phase, new pokemon. Pokemon sun goes the traditional time route while moon does the opposite. In pokemon moon if you're playing in the daytime, the game will consider it night time in-game. Some events also play out differently like different totum pokemon on the same island/trail. In traditional pokemon fashion you can only get some pokemon in each version so trading is required either with a friend or if you own both versions. Also some pokemon evolve differently in each version now. I'd say some of overall models of new pokemon are better looking than the last batch in previous iterations of the pokemon series. . 13. Auto run. Your run is as fast as a bike now, and it has unlimited use. You can now move in all directions instead of the traditional 4 and it feels very fluid. . 14. No rod. Fishing is now dedicated to specific regions in the world. You cannot fish wherever you want anymore. . 15. Photo taking. You can now take photos of pokemon in the wild. . 16. Team skull and aether foundation. Team skull is the new antagonist group like team rocket, but they have a new style to them as they try act gangster-ish with their animated hand gesters/movements. They have more personality and have a darker tone to their backstory and mission. Aether foundation is the opposite of team skull as their mission is to cure injured and hurt pokemon. The group is also conducting research on the ultra beast (pokemon) which is a good mystery story in and of itself. . 17. Graphical upgrade. Game looks better than the last, although there are some pixelation around the edges still. Models look more realistic than before, and the battle animations are more visually impressive. There are some framerate issues on 2v2 battles for some reason, but then again i own the launch 3ds. You may not have the issue if you own the new 3ds? it's a turn-based system so it doesn't really matter much in terms of gameplay, but the slow down is noticeable. . 18. Pokemon refresh. Similar to pokemon amie but with more grooming options. . -returning mechanics:. Pokebank return, you can now transfer all your pokemon to sun and moon. Clothing options: although more options are available, it still feel very limited. Mega evolutions return, but none for new pokemon from what i've discovered. . Overall, love the changes to the traditional formula as it gives the pokemon series a nice refresh and is more streamline to play.

Great way to breathe life into this franchise, even without the typical gym challenges and region exploration, this game is pokemon through and through. Very open world feel to it and is the closest game to and rpg in the series. New story characters, pokemon, there is something for everybody in this game. Must buy for anyone who has any interest in pokemon!

Not too much water eh ign? . . Basically gamefreak took all of our hopes and dreams for pokemon and put them into this game. It is the biggest leap in terms of quality between any generation of pokemon. We've gone to a more 3d view point with moving camera angles. We got rid of the gyms and put in trials instead (thank goodness! ), and we have a wonderful new setting. The new pokemon are a lot of fun, plus we have all the familiar faces as well. . The menus have been improved and streamlined - which is a huge plus. One could consider it a minor improvement yet it makes the usability and functionality so much easier, especially in battle. . Also, having the weakness indicators when battling familiar pokemon is fun too. Though i would have liked if this didn't come up until you captured the type you are fighting. In other words, not showing how your moves affect the opponent unless you have previous captured one of the same and entered it fully into the pokedex. But small nitpick there. . It's truly as near perfect as a pokemon game can be and is what i consider one of the best games of 2016. I actually enjoy this more than ff15.

This game is probably one of my favorite pokemon games. I love the story line that is more involved than many of its predecessors. It actually makes me feel like i'm getting my money's worth out of the game! the pokemon are just as cute in this one. I usually find in many pokemon games that i go for the same old team in each one, but this one i ventured out and tried different pokemon. The festival plaza is one of my favorite things about this game, as well as poke pelago. I seriously could see myself playing this game even after i beat the main story line this time.

It's been several generations of pokemon and 20 years later since the original gameboy games but the formula hasn't changed much. You still go catch monsters, train them up, then prove you're the best. . This new iteration however is in my opinion the best installment yet. The layout is simple and informative, for both casual and hardcore gamers alike. There are tons of new pokemon, as well as old pokemon with new forms, . The quality of the game is great as usual. It even changes up the pacing of the game by replacing the usual gyms with trials. There's plenty of new and exciting content, and it's all using 3d models now. There are a few downsides, but not many. . Cons. - super training (for training evs) is gone. - 3d feature is unavailable, even on the 3ds. - the old online connectivity has been replaced with a really confusing and lackluster "festival plaza. " it works, but its harder to navigate and find friends.

I have played every pokemon game at least in main series of these. This might be my favorite so far. Something about it was just great. They added more story than normal which at beginning was honestly a bit obnoxious because i wanted to fight people but in the end i enjoyed the game throughly and i am still playing to catch the cool new pokemon and train them up. Getting used to the totem battles over gyms was weird and kinda missed not having as many boss trainers but later on in game they actually give you quote a few tough opponents go against. Well tough as long as you didn't like special train your pokemon iv and ev wise lol. Oddly whole i loved this one my gf who does enjoy most of them told me she just couldn't get into this one and stopped playing hers after like first island. So i suppose it isn't for everyone.

Completely different take on pokemon from the previous versions. Only frustration is towards the end-game there isn't too much to do like the previous pokemon games. I think they will add some updates as this is a 3ds game and that is possible. There are great online things for people to do to extend gameplay though.

Great game. I spent over a hundred hours as of the release of the game in november. It took a lot of mechanics including move's attack power and leveling up ways and made them a little different. There are multiple ways to level your pokemon, encounters are different as well, and it feels a little fresher. I had a lot of fun. . A downside is how childish it can be. Don't get me wrong, i know the target audience is children but i personally grew up with the game and one day want to see something new. I can't wait to see what nintendo comes up with next.

Great addition to the pokemon family. This game has innovated on several fronts compared to the library of pokemon games. For example, for the first time ever, there are no "badges", instead your character undergoes trials. This is refreshing after having played 20 years worth of pokemon games. Next, one major annoyance, especially in the last game, was the use of moves such as "surf" and "fly" to have in-game, out of battle effects. The problem was that these moves took up a valuable slot for battles. Pokemon has innovated, and de-coupled the moves needed, from your pokemon. So you can fly whenever you want, and not have to have a pokemon with fly in your group. Finally, this game has a very interesting story/plot. Overall, the game feels very fresh and fun.

Love this game. I've been playing pokémon off and on since crystal. I really got back into after a friend bought me alpha sapphire. I played as all the way through, but only partially played through x and white 1. I was excited for the new structure of sun/moon, so i got myself moon and my brother sun. I've always just played casually, but my brother only did nuzlocke runs for the challenge. Both of us have played this game traditionally, and still found it challenging and fun! . . The new trials are fun, and the ability of wild pokemon to call for help is both infuriating and fun. Ride pokémon take away the need for an hm slave, finally. . Overall, great game for casual players and experienced gamers alike. :)

12hr in and i've really enjoyed this game. This is hard to say but i believe this is better than gold/heartgold which for me were the best. But sun/moon get rid of some many things that were so frustrating from older titles. Your actually rewarded for catching as many pokemon as you can which along with being the best there every was is kinda the point of this game. My only complaint would be the unskipable tutorial! these games have been around 20 years most know how to catch a pokemon so let me skip it! great otherwise.
