As a parent to other parents, the microphone works. I repeat, microphone. Works. It's not super loud but it is very grating. Otherwise it's a totally adorable register and i got a kick out of the scanning tool, and so did my kids, who tried scanning the cat. Positives-. I looked for a pretend cash register for weeks. I didn't want to spend a lot as i was unsure if the item would be a hit or miss and i wanted one with sounds and realistic actions. This works and exceeds my expectations! my child has cancer so we are stuck at home or hospital a lot. We are always looking for toys that will hold her attention for longer periods of time but will stimulate her imagination and with this? it teaches a little life skill (how to shop and a view of being the cashier who checks us out when we shop). I bought this for my 3yr old but my 7yr old loves it too. The register has a belt that moves when manually turned. Food items and a basket are included for shopping. The cash is not sturdy but it's better than what i've bought in single packs at toy stores and so far, hasn't ripped where the others have. There's a key to lock the till, a scanner with holder u can remove as you "check out" a customer. The scanner has a red line light just like a real scanner and beeps when you check each item. The keyboard has sound (none of these sounds are too loud. Parents? u know what i'm talking about lol. The volume is okay here). There's a microphone my kids yell into "clean up on isle four" or "price check in produce" that's louder but not obnoxiously so. Once u finish "ringing up" the customers u have a credit card (included) to swipe (it beeps when swiped but doesn't open the drawer). If u use the keypad then hit "open" the drawer opens up to exchange pretend cash. Negatives-. The money provided doesn't fit into the cash drawer. It gets bent badly and can jam the drawer if a parent can't help out. We trimmed ours. They don't look exactly like real bills but they fit. The till where the money is kept has a key. You can lock it fully so even when hitting open. It won't open or u can unlock it. When unlocking it, sometimes you have to push more forcefully than i would like to shut it again. And sometimes i've had to use the key to reset the drawer to close at all. For the price, these weren't deal breakers for me but as it's not perfectly functioning i did give 4 stars verses 5 for these things because not every parent will want to go handle a cash register malfunction as often as i do lol. Again, my child has cancer and i spend a lot of time playing with them when i can so i don't mind stopping what i'm doing to help set things to rights. -M. Harrison

My two year old daughter absolutely loves this thing. However, we bought this for grandma and grandpa's house (which means it only gets played with once or twice a week or less) and we've only had it for 3 months and it already can barely stay up on it's own. My 4 year old daughter was given this tent for her birthday. It is perfect! each day it transitions from beauty salon to science lab to drive through diner or super hero hide out. The options for creative play are limitless. It comfortably fits my 4 year old and 1 1/2 year old inside. We uncomfortably squeeze an adult in there with both children from time to time. We do not use the room divider, as the space inside is already limited.

So don't buy this with the intention of actually using the mirror to get a good view of your face. Honestly, my daughter enjoys looking in the mirror because her face always looks so funny and warped. It was easy for me to build, came with all the right pieces, and it's very durable actually. I was a little bit skeptical on this purchase after reviewing the 1-2 star reviews & since my granddaughter 21 months old has been using one of my purse's with a set of old car keys, old cellphone, etc. This is by far one of the best purchases i have made! its absolutely adorable and my grand daughter loves it! the purse is perfect in size and made with excellent quality- sure the items that come with the bag are made of plastic and the cell phone doesn't work (no ringing, cant push in the buttons etc. ) but she doesnt care. Our 2 year old enjoys playing wiht her purse! she seems to like all of the items but hasn't really used the phone. That may partly be my fault as i wasn't impressed and ended up buying a separate phone that actually allows for the buttons to be pushed and a message to be recorded for playback. In my opinion, i wouldn't have minded paying a little more for this set to have it include an interactive phone. Still, it's a cute set for toddler compared to the others coming up online (boutique's may have something nicer).
- C. HannahThis purse is darling. It is the second purse i have bought my one year old granddaughter and this purse is far superior in my opinion to the different style i bought from another company. It is easy for her to open because it uses velcro. My granddaughter always wants her mother's credit cards, phone, lipstick and keys. It is really hard to find "play" lipstick so i was pleased that this purse has it. The credit card holder is too hard for her to open at her age but will be fine in another year or less. As others have mentioned, the buttons can't be pushed on the phone but it doesn't seem to bother her and it can easily be replaced with something else. The purse is made of very durable material so i think it will stand the test of time.
This was the most adorable present i have ever watched my(3y/o) niece open! i gave this to her for christmas, and she was so excited as she opened her brand new purse up with all her new accessories that came with it-she literally spent twenty minutes "applying" her faux lipstick, sitting down poised in her new hot pink bean bag chair, in her new "elsa" princess dress, holding her new compact in her hand, using her unwrapped presents as a vanity/table for her other items that came with the purse. This was worth every penny and more! thanks so much for the cute memory, high quality "wanna be like mommy/auntie" ; ) dress up accessory, and fast shipping so that it made it in time for christmas.

Omg, this was the cutest toy. I love how it has the real sound of a sizzling egg! it seems to be built pretty sturdy and i hope it will last. I just purchased it for my grand daughter for christmas and she loves it so far. I only wish i knew they had a pink one before ordering this one.
