For my daughters fourth birthday we bought her a dollhouse. I found a family i loved, but i have an animal loving little girl so i looked everywhere and finally landed on this set and i'm so happy i did! it is definitely higher priced than others but the quality of hape is unmatched. Hape makes the most beautiful little toys that draw you in even as an adult. . I love all of the hape doll house items, and so does my daughter and son. However, yet again, i have a set where a main piece is missing. For the animal set it is the cat, and the set had two rabbits (before it was a coffee pot, which was not important to my kids, the missing cat is). I bought about 8 sets before my daughters birthday, gave her two at the end of last month for her day, and now i cannot get any help on my missing piece because the return period is closed through online store. So, if you did what i did and buy a bunch of sets, and save some for later, check to see if all the pieces are there, that way you can contact online store for help.

We got this to along with serval other furniture sets to go with the hape doll house we got our daughter. We looked at many doll houses before settling on this one. I wanted one that was wood and would look nice in a play room or in our living room. (we move often and were looking for flexibility). We got this for our 3 ½ year old for christmas and she was just the right age for it. She was fully into pretend paly and ready for a doll house. There were some very small pieces included in some of the other furniture sets that i do remove when younger children are around though. I hope to have many years of use out of this doll house.

Hape's high quality wooden toys have brought my family so much joy over the past several years, and this bathroom set, which we received this week, is proving to be another winner. We purchased it for my 3 1/2 year old son's "dollhouse" (a kidkraft fire station/police station set that came with minimal furniture and needed some supplementation), and chose it after looking at the ryan's room, plan toys and melissa and doug bathroom sets. We loved the look of the bathroom, with the bright blue and yellow accents, the separate tub and shower, and the little add-ons, like the duck, bath mat and towel. . The set arrived on sunday, and my son adores it. It is exactly as pictured, and the features are as cute as you'd imagine. The shower hose comes out for washing dolls/dogs/toys/whatever else your child dreams up, the bathroom cabinet opens and closes (my son stores the towel in there), and the toilet lid does as well. The toilet has a very low back, which is sort of strange, but i honestly wouldn't change a thing about this darling set.
