Review for vtech touch swipe baby phone

Price was $14.96. This toy was great for my 6 month old but now it's got a glitch where is just keeps playing music and flashing lights even when no one is anywhere near it. Super annoying. This happened after only about a month. I threw out the box and am probably past the return date anyway or else i would send it back. . Updated review: the company saw my review and kindly offered me a replacement phone at no extra charge. Absolutely wonderful customer service and my son is so happy to have his own "cell phone" again.

Foreword

My son thinks this is actually his phone. He loves the different ways it lights up and the sounds it makes. The only bad part is you have to use a small screwdriver to get the battery case open. Our batteries started to die the other day and it wouldn't turn off and i couldn't find a screwdriver so i had to hide it because it was driving me crazy. Other than that it's a great toy. VTech Touch and Swipe Baby Phone - Blue - Online Exclusive Review (80-146189)

Bought this for our 18 month old for christmas as he is always trying to play with someone's phone. He took to it immediately and takes it everywhere with him. While it is basically just two pages of buttons/icons, it is definitely nicer than playing with the phone that came with our daughter's play kitchen. It lights up, makes noises, rings, etc. Only downside i have encountered is that one button/icon will go on repeat somehow and play the same tune until you turn the phone off. Otherwise, this thing is great for the little guy without sacrificing a real phone. -G. Ruff

Of course your baby wants your real phone. So a baby cell phone toy is highly recommended in my book! i was impressed that the "screen" of this toy phone is pretty responsive, which reacts more like a real phone. The songs and voice is not overly annoying, with a good variety of different sounds (so it's not like a one trick pony that gets old and boring in 2 minutes). While it's pretty big and definitely not soft, my 6 month old enjoys trying to chew it and loves to see the flashing lights and different sounds.

The kids tablet is pretty cute, however, i think they were off on the age range for this. My son is 11 months old and pretty much just hits it because it makes noise. The songs on this are very short and don't really keep him interested. He pretty much just likes to hold the buttons down and make it sound like a broken record. (fun for him, highly annoying for me! ) it seems pretty durable because my son likes to throw it across the kitchen floor and it's fine. No cracks or chunks broken out of it so that's definitely a plus. I was looking for something more "ipad-like" because my son is fascinated with mine. He just isn't super interested in the tiny screen with the light up dots. This doesn't quite hit the "ipad" mark, but it is nice nonetheless. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer them based on my own personal experience with this particular product. -Notice from H. Lara, Alberta

- S. MathisMy 15 month old grandson loves this toy! he plays with it all the time and he is not gentle with it. This is one tough toy that holds up to his rough handling! a terrific buy!

My baby is 6 mths old and he loves it. He bangs it against everything and slobbers all over and it works perfectly. He plays with it all the time and that keeps him away from my cell phone. Thank you.

VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker - Blue - Online Exclusive

My one year old loves it so far. The toy itself keeps him entertained. He's not quite able to stand on his own, but with some help, he holds on to this and it strengthens his legs and helps him learn how to walk. Do not take the title of the toy for granted. This toy is not heavy enough for your child to grab from sitting and pull up to a stand. The title only means they can use the toy sitting or while standing.

From baby steps to big steps the sit-to-stand learning walkertm by vtech helps your baby develop from a crawler to a walker through adaptive technology. With a barnyard of playful friends to cheer them on, your little one will have endless fun as they learn to walk. Start out with the easy-to-remove activity panel for floor play or on-the-run fun, then step it up with the fun-to-maneuver walker. Spinning gears, five piano keys, three colorful rollers, three light-up shape sorters, three light-up buttons and a telephone handset offers endless fun that will stimulate your baby's learning and develop their motor skills. The sit-to-stand learning walker keeps baby on track teaching shapes, colors, animals, music and more!

I ordered this for my 7 month old grandson for christmas. I love that you can use this 2 ways. Since he's not yet starting to walk he can use the front activity center on it's own, on the floor to play with. As he get's stronger and more ready to walk the front activity center attaches to the legs so he can then start to push the walker. The walker has an adjustment that slows the wheels down from free spin (walker) to a slower held back position for learning to walk. I like that the only piece that comes off the activity center is the phone. The shapes are held with a accordion like spring string that stretches and then when you replace the shape it interacts and tells the shape and or color. There's so much to do on this that it has been keeping my grandson busy. The bright colors and music are a bonus, as he loves this. Spinning gears, five piano keys, three colorful rollers, three light-up shape sorters, three light-up buttons and a telephone handset offers endless fun that will stimulate your baby's learning and develop their motor skills and teaches shapes, colors, animals, music and more! . Very easy to assemble in about 5 minutes. Great quality. I love vtech toys for the kiddos. Like anything that moves, you will need to supervise the child to make sure he/she does not fall over when learning to use this. I purchased this item full price and was not compensated for my thoughts. I rely on product reviews just like others to help make my purchase decisions so i try each product very carefully before reviewing and always do my best to leave honest opinions and provide as much facts as possible based solely on my experience -Notice from H. We just got this for our eight month old and so far it is totally worth it! here is my complete review including pros and cons:. . Pros:. . Very interactive and appealing to infants. Easy to assemble (about five minutes). Good quality plastic. Wheels have two settings so if your little one isn't ready to walk you can put it on a stiffer setting. . Cons:. . This is so light that your baby can fall over if she leans too much (i always supervise). Sometimes the sound/music keeps going beyond what you think it should. . Overall i think for the price this is totally worth it. My baby loves it and she's learning to stand and pull herself up to stand because of this. - D. CindyClassic toy that every kiddo should have. My son is 10 months old and has been playing with this toy non stop since he was 6 months old. I like that the toy portion can be taken off and played with on the floor and that the wheels have brakes so prevent it from rolling.

This is our second walker just like this, third baby. I don't think there is a better walker out there! they have improved this even more, there are two "speeds" so you can lock the wheels to make it slower which is just perfect for learning, my 7 month old took off with it!

VTech Touch Swipe Baby Phone

I have a 14 year old special needs child that loves lights & music. He is especially fond of toddler songs. He had learned to navigate my phone pretty easy so i got this as a gift for him to see if it would hold his attention. It was a hit with him. The touch screen helps his fine motor skills which always need work. He can slide the button back & forth to access the two different modes. I like that there is a button to fast forward to the next song. This is good because he has certain songs that are his favorites & wants to listen to them over and over. Vtech has always made nice toys & this is no exception. I purchased this at full price. I hope you have found this review helpful. Have a blessed day.

- E. MicheleThis baby phone was amazing. I bought it for my grand daughter. She is 10 months old. She is always wanting my daughters smart phone. My daughter had come over for a visit. This phone was delivered while she was there. My daughter did not want me to get it for her. She said dont get her another thing. Of course i didnt listen. Well let me just say. When i got the phone i said to my daughter this is for her to have when she comes to grandmas house. You will not be taking it home. So she did not object. Well, as soon as i opened it and gave it to my grand daughter she just loved, loved , loved it. She would not put it down. My daughter then said to me " mom im taking it home. I said no you're not". :) lol. Well she did take it home. My grand daughter loves it and wont put it down. She prefers it to all her other toys. This one is a winner. Oh, the price is great as well. No one will be disappointed. I just wanted to add. I had to exchange this phone for another one as it broke. My granddaughter was heartbroken. It broke twice. This saddens me. And my grand daughter.

I bought this for my daughter's first birthday. She was always after our phones so i figured she would enjoy one of her own. I'm a thrift store shopper who isn't interested in paying lots of money for kids' toys, so the price and reviews made this the apparent choice for a birthday splurge. The batteries that came installed started to die after the first month. Two weeks later it started randomly repeating the same phrases, which got super annoying. So we changed the batteries. We take this thing on car trips and it doesn't get old or annoying because there are quite a few "apps" and "music" to play so it doesn't get too repetitious. I see this thing being played with for a while to come. She likes just randomly pushing buttons now, but the buttons actually do things that make sense, so it seems like it will still be entertaining when a little more focused reasoning comes in. You can also program your own phone number under the "home" button so it gets repeated when "calling home" which will be good for a young child memorizing the home phone number.

VTech Drop Go Dump Truck

My 18 month old received this as a gift. He loves pulling it along behind himself. The "rocks" take a little effort to push through from the top of the truck and he occasionally gets frustrated by that. But he'll just toss them directly into the bucket and go on his merry way. The sound has two levels and plays the typical vtech songs and sounds. Cute little toy, great for gift giving (as long as it's going to a family that isn't anti-noisy toy)!

Learning is tons of fun with the drop and go dump truck by vtech. Drop a colorful rock into the top of this cute toy dump truck, and watch it tumble into the bucket. Your little one will learn numbers as the interactive truck counts each rock. Once the rocks are in the bucket, push or pull the truck along to see the rocks rumble inside. Then, lift the hinged bucket to unload the rocks and start again while developing motor skills. The dump truck also includes 3 colorful buttons that play melodies, phrases and teach tools and colors. Requires 2 aaa batteries (batteries included for demo purposes only; new batteries recommended for regular use). Intended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

My son loves this, got it for him when he was 1 and he's almost two now and he still likes it. Other things (i. E. Legos, matchbox cars) fit in the hole too, so he has endless fun with this. He can pull it around, play with the dump truck feature, play with the buttons and put the ball in the hole, so it has a lot of different ways to play with it. -Notice from A. Benton, New Mexico

I got this for my grandson on his one year birthday. He loves it, and caught on quickly how to push the balls through the top of the truck's cab, which then go into the dump bed. The toy will count the balls as you put them in. The biggest problem with this toy is keeping track of the balls, which tend to roll away and get lost under the furniture. I guess they could solve this by making the balls lumpy as with another toy i bought for his three year old brother. (the wolvol 3-in-1 construction bulldozer. ).

- J. EdithMy daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday. It wasn't until she was about 18 months that she really became interested in it, and now at 2 years old she is obsessed. I bought this as a gift for two other 2 year old because i think it's such a great toy. And of course the option to turn the sound off when you just can't handle the beeping and bopping of interactive toys is always a plus :)

I bought this for my two and a half-year-old and my wife said that he sat for hours after it came playing with it. Which of course is rare and never happens as he is a go go-goer. You can't keep the kid still or you couldn't. . It's easy to use and sturdy the balls/rocks are big enough my youngest who is nine months old and tries to put everything in his mouth can't fit them in enough to be a choking hazard although we still watch him closely when he is playing with them. They also don't hurt when they are thrown at you by a toddler or even the baby. . It comes with batteries which of course is very helpful and it has two different volume settings, of course, the toddler can flip that switch easily but the baby so far can not. . Any ball that is sized the same as the included rock shaped toys can trigger the sayings from the truck when the child puts them in like they would the ones that came with it. . This is a great toy and works for infants that are sitting on their own to older kids.

My 9 month old daughter is always going for the remotes around the house so i figured i would buy her one of her own. She loves this thing. It talks and lights up and has a little ball the rolls and that she finds very amusing. She has also developed the need to chuck stuff across the room and it has yet to break so i would also say that it is build very well. Came with batteries and ready to go right from the package. I would def recommend this product for your little one.

This remote has been a success for us. Our daughter (just turned one) loves to steal the remote from the couch, table, etc. So we got her this for her first birthday and she is quite taken with it. I like that it has two volume levels. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that i find the music/phrases a little more annoying that other vtech products we have. Not a big deal. Little girls loves it all. But i am very grateful for the lower volume setting on this particular toy. This one looks more realistic than some of the other toy remotes that i have seen and it keeps her very busy. -Notice from R. Benton, Rutland

The toy teaches numbers which is a plus! my son likes it because he thinks it's a real remote control! definitely a great toy :) oh and it takes abuse well. My son is at the phase where he throws things. A lot and this toy has withstood many a throw/fall! highly recommended!

- B. AdrienneMy daughter wanted this the minute we saw it on online store. She is a button pusher, like probably a lot of kids and she likes t. V. And to control whats on. Depending on whats pushed and there are quite a few, you'll have esongs, sports numbers, letters comments about t. V. , so that even while they are learning she believes its from the remote control and t, v. I remember when v-tech was pretty low rated company 10 years ago, not anymore, this is one of a few items made by v-tech that are good ideas, good quality and for usually a better price than it's competitors.

My two year old loves this. Whenever the adults pull out the clicker and start changing the channel, my daughter runs and gets her remote so she can play too. . We've had ours for about two months now and haven't had any issues with it. My daughter sleeps with it now. She plays with it when she wakes up in the morning. It's also a good indicator for us that she's awake. . The four big buttons at the bottom are really just light up areas. The kids press them all the time thinking they are buttons. Not really a con, since the kids don't seem upset by this, they just move on to the other buttons.

VTech Touch Swipe Baby Phone - Pink

Good phone toy for a little. My 8 month old likes it. I actually wish it had buttons instead of "touch screen" because their little fingers like to push things and the touch screen concept is kind of lost of the age group this is intended for.

The touch & swipe baby phonetm by vtech captures your child's imagination with their very own smartphone for role-play fun! slide between screens for two modes of play on this educational toy with twelve light-up pretend learning apps or switch to music mode to play fun melodies and sing-along songs. Vivid colors and a touch screen engage your child as they role-play by calling family, friends or even their stuffed animals. The "home" button feature allows you to record and save your home number for learning. With a pretend calendar, clock and weather apps your baby learns about the day while the touch screen and slider builds hand/eye coordination. Your child will discover and explore with fun sounds and sing-along songs that introduce abcs, 123s and first words. Its realistic role-play fun and learning on the go!

So far so good. We have a 6 month old that likes taking our remote and changing the channel. Now she has a cell phone with some buttons. The slide screen is really cool. It actually does a lot more than what i was expecting. The size is a bit large but pretty cool none the less. Hope we don't have any issues like some they people have had.

Vtech-touch-swipe-baby-phone---pink-(80-146150) set picture

- A. PalmerIt works like a phone, daughter enjoys it. Had it around 9 months, now about 15 months. She particularly likes it when sitting in car seat, just pushing buttons and making sounds. But, if she's in the play room, she rarely plays with this - and would rather play with other toys. This is also zero comparison to a real phone - she would much rather play with my real smartphone than this thing.

It's okay, i bought because my baby girl, 7 mos, loves chewing on my phone, as i'm sure all of you know all so well. It is a good size for being a baby phone, and i also like the weight, it's similar to a phone, not too light. I thought though, maybe it would actually swipe upon touch, but there's a little lever/switch that drags and you do it that way. She likes it! for the price it's amazing, which is why i gave 5 stars.

LeapFrog Scout's Learning Lights Remote

Both this for my son when he was 6 months old. He's now 9 mo. Old. Not only does it distract him from our tv remotes, but he can sit and play with this for hours! next up will be to buy the stuffed scout for christmas!

Keep little ones entertained in a big way with a pretend-play remote that introduces numbers, shapes, first words and more! with more than 65 songs, tunes and learning responses from an irresistible light-up screen, the leapfrog learning lights remote helps children ages 6 to 36 months tune into early learning concepts as they imitate mom and dad. With the leapfrog learning lights remote, little ones can press up, down, left or right to hear counting and numbers songs, play a shapes game with the delightful puppy pal scout, or count along with him. They can press the channel buttons to hear how scout has fun in all kinds of weather or to help him count shapes in his garden. The number buttons prompt a counting activity, which encourages little ones to count bright-colored shapes that light up on the screen. Lovable scout is always at their fingertips to entertain, encourage and help children explore. The light-up remote comes with 3 aaa batteries, which should be replaced for home use.

It is a great simple toy for babies to play with it & to learn from! it only teaches & emphasizes on shapes & numbers. It is a little repetitive regarding the songs and games, however my baby girl likes it. I will say i feel like it is a toy for maybe between the ages of 3-6months. My daughter is 7months now, she still plays with it & enjoys it but is definitely over it in about 5 minutes. She gets bored. Great quality & definitely helps babies learn counting and their shapes.

- N. HannahMy daughter loves this, and so does her 6yrs sister! i have to remind her to let the baby see it. It's very engaging with the songs and lights. I love the fact that it coordinates the lights with counting. I love leapfrog products and own quite a few, but this has quickly became a favorite! my sister-in-law bought a vtech one similar for my niece who's 6weeks younger than my baby and was extremely disappointed in it. My niece loves this one but won't touch the vtech one.

I bought this for my 7 month old because he was intent on playing with the real one in my home which i did not want. I thought if he had on of his own it might satisfy and distract. It worked! this is his new favorite toy. I love that it teaches shapes and numbers and keeps his attention. Plus there are two volume levels. On the quitter setting he has no problem hearing it since he is holding it but it's not annoying to have playing in the same room people are talking in or watching tv or reading.

The F.A.Q. for Vtech Touch Swipe Baby Phone - Blue - Online Exclusive (80-146189)

But it apparently does. This version is apparently a better one, for reasons i can't account for in the slightest. This is the exact same phone as the orange one, at least i can tell no difference except functionality. This blue one has a screen that is (dare i say) very responsive. It takes little more than a brush up against it to get the phone to make the appropriate noises and speech, and this led my son and his cousin to constantly fight over who gets to use it. (we got his cousin the orange one and it turned out pretty bad. Read my other review on the orange version. ). Though this one still blows through batteries like a hurricane, it's the better deal of the two options. I still have no idea why color makes a difference.

My son loves this phone, but i had to drop a star because it doesn't do what i hoped it would do (stop him from playing with my phone). It's a touch screen, which is nice. It's held up to a lot of drops in the year that we've had it so far, and it still works. I got it for my son last easter. He's now 18 months old and plays with it more than ever. I always make sure he has it with him in the car. It keeps him entertained for short car trips.

My nephews fight over their parents cell phones all the time so got the younger one this one to play with instead. All the buttons light up individually and it surprisingly keeps the nephews busy, lets them play with a phone type device without actually messing up their parents real cell phone. As with any kid toy the noise may become obnoxious after awhile, but it is a good distraction from letting them play with your actual phone and works better than i thought

O. Joanne, Cambridgeshire

These are great. My twin toddlers love them. I one phone for each child when the children were about 10 months old and they're still loving them 8 months later. If the buttons stop working right, just replace the batteries and voila! the buttons work again. Please note that this doesn't stop them from trying to grab our cell phones but they're happy that they have their own. Also, i see them being able to use this toy for many more months as they still don't actually use the features, such as following the directions when the voice tells them to push the flashing lights.

D. June, Gateshead says

Z. Shawna, Oldham

My 8 months old loves playing with this phone. I wanted to buy a toy that resembles a smartphone since he loves playing with mine. This toy is perfect for that. He loves pressing the touchscreen numbers over and over. It is a great toys for babies. You can also save your number so that your baby can pretend to call you.

W. Glenda, Quebec says

I got this for my nephew when he was around 11 months, he loves it! i was very surprised at how many different noises, songs and activities this little phone has. He still uses it months later and it has been great to hand him now that he's interested in everyone's real phone. This toy is also very durable, drops and scratches don't seem to bother it at all. Great toy and a super value.

W. Veronica, Newfoundland and Labrador

At 2 years old, my son is starting to imagine and play a lot more and we decided to get him a "cell phone' so he can stop stealing mommy and daddys. He loves this phone, he likes to pretend that he's on the phone as he walks down the hallway. This phone teaches him in song - numbers, letters and things like that. Overall, i am happy that my son enjoys this gift, so i would recommend it to anyone.

V. Dorothy, Nordrhein-Westfalen says

My two-year-old niece always wants to play with grownups' smart phones and we all know the chaos that can cause if you're not careful. She was absolutely delighted to get a phone of her own. It keeps her distracted and whenever she grabs for an adult phone, we just put this one in her hand instead.

E. Kathlene, Champagne-Ardenne

I bought this phone for my little nephew he is 6 months old and he loves keeps him entertainment while my sister its cooking
