I had a hard time making this purchase for my granddaughter. These dolls are costly. However, on christmas morning i didn't give the money a thought as i witnessed the happiness of my granddaughter. This doll is well made and beautiful. The only reason i did not give her 5 stars is because she has a wacky thing going on with her bangs. Not a big deal but 5 stars would be a perfect!

Imaginative maryellen larkintm has hazel eyes that open and close, and her long strawberry-blond hair is worn in a high ponytail with sideswept bangs. She comes in an authentic 1950s outfit: a striped dress with a sweetheart neckline, tailored bows, and a full skirtan aqua lacy-knit shrug monogrammed with her initial black mary jane shoeswhite underwearan aqua ribbon bow on a ponytail holder for her hair the 18" maryellen doll has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with the one and only: a maryellen classic 1 book. Winner of the 2015 national parenting publications (nappa) silver award.

- H. AndersonThis was not on my daughter's wish list to santa, however santa took a chance and emma has not given this doll a chance to sit alone. Santa also picked out some underwear, and a multiple outfit package also on here under a different maker and my emma has been busy changing her into different outfits, shoes at least 20 times, we had to stop in wallymart today and pick up some colored hair ribbons to go with them too. She is thrilled with this doll. If she remains this popular, i think the easter bunny is going to have to deliver her a sister or friend very soon. I would rate this 1 day later 5 stars and hopefully it will remain one of her favorite toys. I may purchase the 3 other books that go with this doll you can find on their website if she takes an interest in the book which i expect, given her interest in reading. Well done, but a bit pricey for a doll from a guy's perspective. Get on online store dot com and watch the video they have up for this doll which i actually found after santa decided to get this.

Perfect for the little girl age six that we sent this to. She is in love with the doll. We also got matching pjs and she could not be happier.
